Dolphins vs. Ravens Point Spread/Moneyline Prediction
Lamar Jackson proclaimed proudly to the media that he is “ready to go now” this week, and considering he’s been out a month and the Ravens have been very cautious with him, we believe him. He should be at full go for this game, and that means the spread is more than warranted. Jackson is 2-0 ATS in his career in his first game back following an injury absence.
Not to mention that, despite their somewhat shocking shellacking of the Falcons last week, the Dolphins are still one of the worst teams in the league when it comes to talent. While the Ravens defense is still missing a lot of key pieces, they should be able to cause enough turnovers to make this a comfortable win for Baltimore on the road. With the spread on most betting sites sitting just above that 7-point threshold, however, we’re going to buy up one point just to be safe.
Prediction: Baltimore Ravens Alternative -6.5 Point Spread (-156)
Dolphins vs. Ravens Over/Under Total Prediction
All seven Thursday Night Football matchups have gone over the total this year, and we don’t see any reason why that’s gonna change this week. The over is 6-1 for the Ravens this year, and 6-1-1 for the Dolphins. They share the same 87.5 over hit rate that is pacing the NFL right now. All four games Lamar Jackson played in went well over this 50-point total, and Miami has scored 24+ in four of their last six games as well. There should be points galore here.
Prediction: Game Total Points Over 49.5 (-110)

We have failed on betting against the Dolphins’ poor rush defense in each of the last two weeks. So why not try again? Third time’s the charm and all that. They are still allowing over 117 rush yards per game to opposing RBs, and Derrick Henry has been finding his rhythm over the last couple of weeks. He went for 122 yards in Week 6, and had 71 and two TDs last week in the big win over the Bears.
More importantly, however, is that Lamar Jackson is back. And when Jackson is in, Henry has space to operate. He has played 20 full games with Lamar, and in those games he’s averaged 108.2 yards per game. That’s why we like the over on his yards prop.
If you want something more safe, you can also bet on his anytime TD odds, which are a little shorter. Henry has scored 19 times in 20 games with Lamar. He has also scored at least once in 16 of his 24 regular season games as a Raven.
Best Bet:
- Derrick Henry Over 89.5 Rush Yards (-110)
- Derrick Henry Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-230)
