NFL Week 18 Late Sunday 4PM Betting Picks & Odds - January 4
All odds provided by Bodog.
Arizona Cardinals (3-13) @ Los Angeles Rams (11-5) - 4:25PM
The Los Angeles Rams had one of their ugliest performances of the season in Week 17. They might have even rested some guys in Week 18 had they won. But they didn’t, and head coach Sean McVay was not happy about it. He said adamantly that everyone is going to play in the final regular season game.
And if everyone plays for the Rams, that means they’re going to put up a lot of points. Especially against this subpar Cardinals defense: Arizona has allowed 37+ points in five of their last eight games. And with Jacoby Brissett at the controls, they can always move the ball. The Rams might win this in a blowout, but a 13-point spread is way too susceptible to a backdoor cover. The over feels safer here.
Best Bet: Game Total Points Over 47.5 (-110)
Washington Commanders (4-12) @ Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) - 4:25PM
Despite being able to clinch the No. 2 seed and move up from No. 3 in Week 18, the Eagles are going to be resting a lot of starters. I guess they have some championship DNA that says it doesn’t matter if they have homefield advantage in the playoffs or not. Go figure.
With that being said, the Commanders are awful. They have allowed more rushing yards than any other team in the NFL over the last month (726) and with Saquon Barkley likely resting for most if not all of this game, backup Tank Bigsby could have a field day. His rushing yards prop is not yet available, but we like that one just as much as his anytime scorer odds as long as it stays below 50 yards.
Best Bet: Tank Bigsby Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+125)
Detroit Lions (8-8) @ Chicago Bears (11-5) - 4:25PM
The Bears have been running the ball really well of late. And while the credit for that should go to both D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai, it’s the former who remains the head honcho of this backfield. Swift has rushed for 50+ in each of his last three games.
He now gets a chance to go against a Lions run defense that has given up 638 rush yards over the last month, fourth-most in football. Swift had 63 yards and a score on 12 carries in the first matchup with Detroit earlier this season. And let’s not forget: Swift was drafted by and given up on by this Lions franchise a few years ago. He likes this matchup.
Best Bet: D’Andre Swift To Record 50+ Rushing Yards (-178)
