After far too many days off since the last day of the Conference Finals on Saturday, the 2025 NBA Finals finally get going on Thursday night. The No. 1 seed in the West (and the league), the Oklahoma City Thunder, will host Game 1, as they have the home court advantage over the Eastern Conference’s upstart Indiana Pacers.

However, before that series gets underway, it’s worth having a look at some of the future betting markets for this series. Since it’s the NBA Finals, there are a lot of team-centric NBA betting options in the futures department. Read on for our odds and analysis for some of the most popular markets for this year’s NBA Finals.

Highlights

  • The Pacers have proven themselves resilient enough to win a game or two
  • These two teams have combined for 6 double-digit comeback this postseason
  • The Thunder have won a game by 30+ in each of their 3 playoff series

Over 6.5 (+330)

We all know that barring an upset of epic proportions, the Thunder are going to be lifting the Larry O’Brien this year. We’re obviously not touching that series moneyline prop. However, the Pacers are not known as an easy out. Even last year, when Tyrese Haliburton went out, they got swept by the even-champion Celtics, but they lost three out of four by five points or less.

Haliburton isn’t out this time. And he’s a far better player than he was last year. He, Pascal Siakam, and the rest of their motley crewe will not go quietly into the night. They will not be swept this time around, and we think that, while they won’t prevail, they will give the best team in the NBA a real scare.

That’s why we like one of two bets here. The Pacers will win at least one game at home, and we think they can steal one on the road too. They are 6-2 on the road during these playoffs after all. So we’re taking Indiana to cover a +2.5 game spread at solid -110 odds on most betting apps. Or, alternatively, we’d take the over on the series over 5.5 total games prop whenever that one comes off then board.

Best Bet: Indiana Pacers +2.5 Series Spread (-110)

4-0+300+6,000
4-1+190+3,500
4-2+375+1,400
4-3+500+1,100

It would be great to take advantage of those long Pacers odds. They’re such a fun team, and they do have the depth to match the Thunder—they’re one of the rare teams that can do that—but OKC’s depth is better all-around. Their ability to limit their own turnovers and cause turnovers in their opponents is a marvel.

They meet their match with Haliburton, though. The Pacers PG is somehow equal parts risky and safe, posting a 5/1 assist-to-turnover ratio in these playoffs. That’s, like, good good. So we think the Pacers take a game or two. It’s a toss up between five or six games. Thunder to win 4-2 is offering the better value, so that’s what we’ll roll with.

Best Bet: Thunder to Win Series 4-2 (+375)

Thunder vs. Pacers Miscellaneous Futures Betting Markets

Largest Comeback Victory In Series - O/U 16.5 (-110)

This is where we get to the fun bit. We don’t think Indiana will win the series, but they will make it fun. The big comeback has been their calling card this postseason. They have engineered comebacks of 20, 20, 19, and 17 over the last 12 playoff games alone. They’ve also lost two games where they were up double-digits. OKC, for all their dominance, also came back from down 30 in a game to beat Memphis, and overcame a double-digit deficit against the Nuggets. We’re voting over here.

Largest Winning Margin In Series - O/U 28.5 (-110)

These NBA playoffs have featured some of the best finishes in the league’s history—but there have also been some absolute duds. There have been 14 series so far in these playoffs, and seven of them have seen a team win by 29+. The Thunder are responsible for three of those series. They did lose one game by 40+ to the T-Wolves, but they won one by 30+ in each of their three playoff series. If the Cavs can get this Pacers team by 22 one time, the Thunder should be able as well.
