When Deiveson Figueiredo (25-7-1) moved up to bantamweight from flyweight, where he’d won the championship twice prior and during an epic quadrilogy with Brandon Moreno, he’s had an up-and-down time. “Deus Da Guerra” won his first three straight fights at 135 pounds.

But since then, he’s gone just 1-4, losing his last two in a row, both of which were dominating performances for his opponent. Figgy seems to be the new bantamweight gatekeeper, as he’s now been matched up with the UFC’s next big thing at bantamweight, Payton Talbott (11-1).

Can Talbott keep the hype train going in this co-main event at UFC 332, or will Figueiredo prove he’s still a force to be reckoned with at 135 pounds? Read on for our analysis and best bet for this bantamweight battle as well as the latest UFC betting odds on the market!

Things haven’t quite gone to plan for Deiveson Figueiredo at bantamweight. He’s lost four of his last five fights, two of which he lost via finish. And he’s also now 38 years old. Not exactly in his prime anymore.

Meanwhile, Talbott is a decade younger and has bounced back nicely with a pair of wins against Felipe Lima and Henry Cejudo after suffering his first career loss against Raoni Barcelos in 2025. The win against Cejudo was in a big spot and showed that the spotlight is not too bright for Talbott.

Talbott hails from Nevada, which forms part of the American Southwest along with Utah, where this fight will be taking place in Salt Lake City at the Delta Center. He’s not only bigger, taller, and stronger than Figgy, he’s also got the home-octagon advantage here.

Obviously, we think Talbott is going to emerge victorious here. It’s hard to argue when all Ontario sportsbooks are making him such a prohibitive favourite in this one. However, he’s such a well-rounded fighter that all three of his method of victory props are offering plus (+) odds. All three of Talbott’s last three fights have gone the distance, and ditto with five of Figueiredo’s eight fights at bantamweight. We’re going with Talbott on the cards here.
