NFL Week 5 Late Sunday 4PM Betting Odds & Best Bets

Last week didn’t quite go as planned for us in the late window. The 49ers won and the Chiefs covered our alternate spread (though they made it as difficult on themselves as possible), but the rest wasn’t so great. Sam Darnold barely looked A.J. Barner’s way in Seattle and the Vikings didn’t get after Malik Willis nearly as much as we expected.
We’re still in the black on the year, however, which is a positive. We’ll look to build on that here in Week 5, which has a smaller slate of just three late afternoon 4PM ET matchups. That should allow us to dial in even more to make sure we find the very best value bet for each of the three. Read on for our favorite picks for the late slate as well as the top NFL betting odds!

Denver Broncos (2-2) @ Los Angeles Chargers (0-4) - 4:05PM
| Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total (Over/Under) |
| Denver Broncos | -187 | -3.5 (-110) | O41.5 (-115) |
| Los Angeles Chargers | +157 | +3.5 (-110) | U41.5 (-105) |
Omarion Hampton has been one of the big disappointments on one of the most disappointing teams in football in the Chargers. But we think this is a sneaky good spot for the second-year man. The Chargers are at home, for whatever that’s worth to them, and Hampton will be running against a Broncos defence that has quietly been one of the worst in the NFL.
They are giving up the sixth-most rush yards to RBs and have the fourth-worst run defence overall. Hampton has had 43+ yards in all four games this year, even last week when it seemed to be more of a timeshare with Keaton Mitchell. OC Mike McDaniel confirmed that Hampton is still the RB1 and wants to utilize him more moving forward. This is a very low number he should hit with ease.
Best Bet: Omarion Hampton Over 37.5 Rush Yards (-110)
Detroit Lions (2-2) @ Arizona Cardinals (1-3) - 4:25PM
| Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total (Over/Under) |
| Detroit Lions | -245 | -5.5 (-110) | O54.5 (-110) |
| Arizona Cardinals | +200 | +5.5 (-110) | U54.5 (-110) |
The Lions couldn’t stop a slow-moving slug from putting up 30 points on them right now. Their defence is truly terrible. They are the only team in football giving up over 300 yards passing per game so far this season. 304 to be exact, nearly 25 more than any other team.
That means it’s all systems go for Jacoby Brissett and the solid Cardinals offence. They may not be elite, but Brissett and company can certainly move the ball. He’s had a couple of quiet games against the Giants and Seahawks in the last few weeks, but this Lions defence is swiss cheesy enough to allow Brissett to hit this number, which he did eclipse in his other two games this year.
Best Bet: Jacoby Brissett Over 266.5 Pass Yards (-110)
San Francisco 49ers (4-0) @ Seattle Seahawks (3-1) - 4:25PM
| Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total (Over/Under) |
| San Francisco 49ers | +141 | +3.5 (-115) | O46.5 (-110) |
| Seattle Seahawks | -166 | -3.5 (-105) | U46.5 (-110) |
Another tough divisional game to call here. The 49ers have not lost yet and the Seahawks have lost just once (on what seems a lot like a fluke day to Marcus Mariota and the Commanders). So this one is too close to call. Instead, we went to the player prop bucket and found ourselves what we believe to be a real steal.
The 49ers have a solid defence, but they have a very specific flaw: they allow a ton of receiving yards to RBs coming out of the backfield. In fact, at 51.8 yards per game, they allow more than any other team in the league.
Now, burly Seahawks back Emanuel Wilson is not the prototypical RB pass-catcher, but he was thrust into the role last week and had three catches on four targets for 39 yards. With Jadarian Price and Zach Charbonnet still out and third-down guy George Holani trending in that direction as well, Wilson could be getting a huge load both on the ground and through the air. This number was just too low to pass up.
Best Bet: Emanuel Wilson Over 11.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
