NFL Week 5 Player Prop Best Bets & Betting Odds

Public Domain
We went 2-for-3 last week to get ourselves back closer to even on the year, but it didn’t feel like it because our first NFL prop of the day failed miserably. Jahmyr Gibbs was utterly bottled up before Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Olave blew their prop numbers away.
We continue to chase that elusive 3-for-3 as we head into Week 5 still in the red. This week, we like a Raiders wideout to tear up a hospitalized Patriots secondary, a running back taking on the worst run defense against RBs, and one of the top tight ends matching up with a team giving up the second-most yards to TEs. Read on for our best bets as well as the latest betting odds from the best NFL online betting sites.

Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders - Over 39.5 Receiving Yards (-110) @ New England Patriots
The Raiders came into the 2026 campaign with one of the most suspect and unknown wide receiver rooms in the NFL. Four weeks in, and they haven’t become household names, but the leader of that group, Tre Tucker, has put together a nice start to the season for himself.
He’s on pace for just under 1,000 yards for the season and is currently ranked 22nd in receiving with 233 yards. He’s had 44, 43, and 119 yards in his last three outings, which is why we feel really good about his prop number this week being at around 40 yards.
The Patriots don’t have a bad pass defence–when healthy. But when they have the kind of injuries they have right now in the secondary, they could certainly be taken advantage of even by a mediocre passing attack–which the Raiders are not, as they sit ninth in passing right now.
Pats CB starters Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis have both been ruled out, as have both of their backups. Yeah, their top four CBs are out. Kirk Cousins has been great this year, and he should have no trouble carving up a Patriots secondary smattered with reserve players. Tucker figures to be one of the main beneficiaries.
Aaron Jones, RB, Minnesota Vikings - Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (-110) @ New Orleans Saints
With Jordan Mason on injured reserve, the Vikings have been asking a lot of veteran Aaron Jones. And he has largely been delivering. He has received 23, 17, and 20 carries in the last three games, delivering 105, 58, and 94 yards on the ground, respectively.
His number here is a little bit higher than we’d like to see at 72.5, but with his Viks matching up against the porous New Orleans Saints defence, it does make a little sense. The Saints are giving up over 138 rush yards per game to running backs this season, the most in the NFL by over 15 percent. This should be a good matchup for Jones, who has been channeling his old Packers self over the last month.
Trey McBride, TE, Arizona Cardinals - Over 81.5 Receiving Yards (-110) vs. Detroit Lions
This matchup was simply too good to pass up: one of the best tight ends in football against one of the worst teams at defending tight ends. Trey McBride has been somewhat quiet since his big 95-yard performance in that shocking Week 1 upset win over the Chargers. He went for 45, 75, and 31 yards in the ensuing three games.
His prop this week is higher than all three of those numbers, but that’s because McBride has been underachieving and he gets a great matchup. The Cardinals host the Lions this week. Detroit’s defence is abysmal, but it’s especially bad against tight ends: they are allowing over 101 yards per game to TEs, one of only two teams giving up 100+.
Juwan Johnson, Dalton Kincaid, and Jets rookie Kenyon Sadiq have all had big games against the Lions defence from the TE position. We expect McBride to join their ranks this week.
