The Round of 32 continues on July 2, with several giants taking the pitch.

To start the day, Euro 2024 winners Spain lock horns with Austria, with a ticket to the Round of 16 on the line. Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal then face Luka Modric and Croatia in a must-watch affair in Toronto. Lastly, Switzerland takes on Algeria at BC Place in Vancouver.

Below, we'll dive into our daily World Cup 2026 betting tips.

Top Picks for World Cup Day 22 | July 2

Spain vs Austria

Spain to Win Nil (-105)

La Roja may have disappointed in their World Cup opener against Cape Verde, but they showed their quality in the following two matches. Spain hammered Saudi Arabia 4-0 on matchday two before eliminating Uruguay with a 1-0 victory last Friday. Luis de la Fuente's men have yet to concede in this tournament, scoring five times in the process. Spain has looked like a well-oiled machine, and with such a daunting attack led by Lamine Yamal, it's hard not to believe they will progress here. Austria is certainly no pushover, but they've been vulnerable defensively in the World Cup overall, conceding in 12 straight appearances. After conceding three to Algeria, we could see Spain really pick apart this shaky Austrian backline as well.

🗸 Long Shot: Lamine Yamal Anytime Goal (+130)
🗸 Extra Tip: Spain Over 2.5 Goals (+155)

Portugal vs Croatia

Portugal vs Croatia Both Teams to Score (+100)

This game in Toronto should be an absolute battle between two very good teams with strong midfields and no shortage of players who can hit the back of the net. That's exactly why I'm eyeing both teams to score at favorable +100 odds. Portugal conceded to Congo in their opening game, and while they kept a clean sheet in the next two games, Croatia's frontline has the ability to cause some trouble. The Checkered Ones also scored in every group stage fixture. I do believe this will be a close encounter, but Selecao will ultimately prevail. Big players deliver in big moments, and I'm expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to do his part in helping Portugal progress to the Round of 16.

🗸 Long Shot: Cristiano Ronaldo Anytime Goal (-105)
🗸 Extra Tip: Portugal Moneyline (-137)

Switzerland vs Algeria

Switzerland Moneyline (+105)

The Swiss are an extremely experienced side who showed very well in the group stages, topping Group B with two wins and a draw. They beat Canada and Bosnia, and drew with Qatar. Switzerland was much more consistent than Algeria, which needed a dramatic draw against Austria just to advance to the knockout stages. The Swiss midfield, led by Granit Xhaka, is incredibly solid, and the attacking duo of youngster Johan Manzambi and Breel Embolo is a problem for any defense. But, against one as vulnerable as Algeria, which conceded three to the Austrians and three to Argentina, I expect the front two to make their presence felt. Switzerland is a deserving favorite, and they will comfortably deliver the goods.

🗸 Long Shot: Over 2.5 Goals (+115)
🗸 Extra Tip: Johan Manzambi Goal or Assist (+166)
