Top Picks for World Cup Day 12 | June 22
Argentina vs Austria
Argentina Over 1.5 Goals (-141)
The World Cup title-holders were absolutely ruthless in their opening match against Algeria, running out 3-0 winners behind a hat-trick from none other than Lionel Messi. Argentina very much looks the part so far of a side who can make another run at the grand prize, and their attacking prowess is daunting. Of course, Messi is the leading man, and he looks better than ever, but Lionel Scaloni also has the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Julian Alvarez, and Enzo Fernandez at his disposal. Austria may have secured a convincing win on matchday one against Jordan, but La Albiceleste is a different beast, and the Austrians are making their first World Cup appearance since 1998. Messi will produce the goods again, but I do expect Austria to get on the scoresheet.
🗸 Long Shot: Both Teams to Score (+100)
🗸 Extra Tip: Lionel Messi Anytime Goal (-111)
France vs Iraq
France to Win Nil (-200)
France took 66 minutes to find their footing against Senegal, with Kylian Mbappe scoring the opener to ultimately lead Les Bleus to a 3-1 win. Now, Didier Deschamps' side faces an Iraqi side they should beat without any issues. Iraq was defeated 4-1 by Norway in their first match, and while France had defensive issues leading up to the Senegal game, the Iraqis pose little threat to them in the final third. Outside of Aymen Hussein, Iraq doesn't have any attacking options that I see causing problems for France. Also, the Les Bleus frontline should completely overwhelm their opponents, with Mbappe in fine form, while Michael Olise, Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue, and Ousmane Dembele are all world-class options who will cause a fit for Iraq. Expect goals from the 2022 finalists.
🗸 Long Shot: France Over 3.5 Goals (+130)
🗸 Extra Tip: Kylian Mbappe Anytime Goal (-200)
Norway vs Senegal
Norway vs Senegal Draw (+260)
This is arguably the most intriguing fixture of the day. Norway returned to the World Cup stage with a bang, with Haaland's brace leading them to three points over Iraq. The Norwegians now face a Senegal side that is definitely vulnerable at the back, but they also have the physicality to make things difficult for Haaland. On the opposite end of the pitch, the Senegalese are also a team who have found the back of the net in four of their last five matches. Norway has also conceded in three consecutive outings, which is why I believe both teams to score offers value here. When it comes to the best bet, we're looking at two sides who are quite even. Norway and Senegal will share the points here in a goal-filled encounter. Expect Haaland to also add another to his World Cup account.
🗸 Long Shot: Erling Haaland Anytime Goal (-111)
🗸 Extra Tip: Both Teams to Score (-132)
Jordan vs Algeria
Algeria Moneyline (-175)
The Algerians faced a massive task on matchday one when they took on Argentina, as Messi ripped them apart. But the African nation has the opportunity to secure a crucial three points against a Jordan team that was smashed by Austria. Algeria was on a four-game unbeaten run leading up to the World Cup, which included a scoreless draw with Uruguay and a very impressive 1-0 victory over Ronald Koeman's Netherlands. Jordan is making their first-ever World Cup appearance, and Algeria is simply a better side with much more European experience in their squad. Expect the Algerians to respond with authority on Monday, but Jordan's fighting spirit should help them get on the scoresheet.
🗸 Long Shot: Riyad Mahrez Over 1.5 SOG by Foot (+233)
🗸 Extra Tip: Both Teams to Score (+100)

Taking a look at the odds for all four matches on June 21 in the 2026 World Cup, while also providing betting tips on each game, including Spain vs Saudi Arabia and New Zealand vs Egypt.

World Cup 2026: Uzbekistan vs Portugal Odds, Best Bets & Prediction
Portugal were held to a surprise 1-1 draw by DR Congo in matchday one, leaving Roberto Martínez’s side with points to prove against World Cup debutants Uzbekistan. The squad quality gap is enormous, but so was the gap against DR Congo, and Portugal still failed to win. Over 2.5 goals at 1.60 is the standout market.

World Cup 2026: Croatia vs Panama Odds, Best Bets & Prediction
Croatia and Panama arrive at BMO Field in Toronto having both lost their matchday one fixtures in Group L. Croatia’s 2-4 defeat to England and Panama’s stoppage-time 0-1 loss to Ghana set up a straight elimination contest on June 23: the loser’s World Cup campaign is effectively over.

World Cup 2026: Ghana vs England Odds, Best Bets & Prediction
Ghana and England meet in Group L having both won their matchday one fixtures. England’s 4-2 defeat of Croatia and Ghana’s stoppage-time 1-0 win over Panama create a top-of-the-table Group L encounter on June 23. England are heavy favourites, but Ghana’s compact 4-5-1 is a structurally different challenge from the open Croatia setup.
