The co-hosts finished as runners-up in Group B behind Switzerland and head into this one as clear favorites. South Africa, meanwhile, finished in second in Group A behind Mexico, pulling off a miraculous victory over Korea on matchday three to book their spot in the knockout stages for the first time ever.

Canada vs South Africa

Canada was surely expecting to face South Korea in this match before the Koreans were stunned by South Africa. This is a fixture that Jesse Marsch's side will expect to win, and I believe they will deliver the goods. Canada hammered nine-man Qatar 6-0 on matchday two before suffering a slim 2-1 defeat to Switzerland on Wednesday. Outside of an eight-minute period where Les Rouges conceded twice, they gave the Swiss a serious run for their money. Bafana Bafana obviously has momentum right now, but the reality is they're not the strongest side, and Canada's attacking options should be able to take advantage here. Jonathan David and Cyle Larin are firing on all cylinders, and look for David to hit the back of the net. South Africa has scored just one goal from open play as well. They do not pose much of a threat in the final third.
