And they were actually one of two teams to do so in the first round this year (Detroit Pistons), making it 15 comebacks from down 3-1 in NBA history. But there’s no rest for the wicked as the Sixers now head to the Mecca to take on the New York Knicks, who also came back from down 2-1 to win their first round matchup.

This could very well be the longest series of the second round of these 2026 NBA Playoffs. The Knicks and 76ers are both scrappy, and they had a six-game series in the first round a couple of years ago. While we believe the Knicks have overall advantages in depth and defense that will push them over the top, we’re going with the over here.

76ers vs. Knicks “Series Correct Score” Futures Betting Market

The Sixers have some real hitters with Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, and rookie VJ Edgecombe. But the key is still Joel Embiid. And in a series we expect to get testy and physical, we can’t imagine he doesn’t pick up a little niggle here or there.

He’s likely already playing through an injury, and without the former MVP at 100 percent, the other three guys will need to be near-perfect every night. And with defenders like Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Josh Hart on the other side, that’s not going to happen.

New York’s bench has an 8.1 net rating so far this postseason, second-best in the NBA. That plus a Knicks defense that is top 5 in points allowed in both the regular and potseasons means New York will win this one with a cushion. But not much of one.

Best Bet: New York Knicks to Win 4-2 (+350)

76ers vs. Knicks “Most X In Series” Futures Betting Market

The odds for the futures betting markets on which players will lead this series in various statistical categories are still off the board. However, we’ll give you a couple of guys we like as long as their odds aren’t too short.

Tyrese Maxey was one of a handful of NBA players to average 3+ triples per game during the regular season, and the Knicks spread the ball around so much, he should be able to lead this series in three-pointers made even if the Sixers lose the series.

One that could be a bit more of a long shot is Joel Embiid to lead the series in assists. The Knicks, once again, like to share the load, with no one averaging much more than six assists per game. Maxey will likely be the favorite, but Embiid actually averaged more assists during the four games he played in Round 1, at 7.0. The big fella will probably be offering long odds here, so if he can play in every game, he could be a great value here.
