Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Odds
Bayern are sitting as a very slim +104 home favorite over Arsenal at soccer betting sites, who return at +225 moneyline odds. A draw is priced at +275, while the O/U is set at three goals.
The Gunners beat Bayern 3-1 on matchday five last season, but the Bundesliga giants had won four of the prior five meetings.
Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Analysis
Bayern are once again at the top of the Bundesliga with an unbeaten 4-2-0 record, but Borussia Dortmund are right on their heels in second with the same number of points. Kompany’s squad also showed some vulnerability last week in Norway against a Viking side who realistically had no business giving the Bavarians a run for their money, but that’s exactly what happened.
The German giants had to claw their way back from an early two-goal deficit, with none other than Harry Kane drawing his side level within six minutes before Luis Diaz put Bayern ahead late in the second half. However, Viking found an equalizer at the death, snatching a hard-fought point. The Bundesliga champions responded with authority over the weekend, though, hammering Leipzig by five goals behind a hat-trick from Diaz.
Arsenal have enjoyed a solid start to the campaign, sitting just three points back in the Premier League title race while maintaining a perfect record in the Champions League. Mikel Arteta's men have been particularly impressive defensively, and they'll need to be at their best against a Bayern side boasting plenty of firepower in the final third.
While winning the Premier League remains a major priority, Arsenal will be equally hungry to avenge their Champions League final defeat to PSG last season. Beating a European heavyweight like Bayern would be another significant step toward that goal. Since losing to Brighton on September 19, the Gunners have won three straight matches across all competitions while conceding just once, and they've also kept back-to-back clean sheets in Europe.
Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Injury News
Bayern Munich will be without Jamal Musiala (thigh) for Wednesday's clash, while Michael Olise is suspended following his red card against Viking. Manuel Neuer has also been dealing with a foot issue that kept him out of the last two matches, although the veteran goalkeeper has returned to training and could feature.
Arsenal have several injury concerns, with William Saliba (back), Piero Hincapie (ankle), and Christos Tzolis (hamstring) all expected to miss out. However, Martin Zubimendi is available again after recovering from a minor injury.
Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Picks
The absence of Olise will hurt Bayern, given his importance to their attack. However, the hosts are a tough side to beat on home soil, and I expect their backline to tighten up after a vulnerable performance against Viking. Arsenal have also been defensively sound, and I see these two European heavyweights sharing the spoils.
