Chelsea vs Tottenham Odds

Soccer betting sites have Chelsea as a sizeable -152 moneyline favorite, while Spurs return at +359. A draw is priced at +320, while the O/U is set at three goals.

The Blues have completely dominated this clash in recent memory, winning six straight meetings dating back to November of 2023.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Analysis

Chelsea have struggled for consistency at times this term, but they’re starting to change that. Xabi Alonso’s men are flying high at the moment, outscoring their last two opponents 7-1. As previously mentioned, the Blues exploded for five goals against Bournemouth before rolling into Hill Dickinson Stadium and snatching three points vs Everton.

Portuguese international Pedro Neto was the difference-maker on Merseyside, scoring a second-half brace to lead his side to victory. Chelsea’s backline has improved dramatically lately, conceding just once in their previous two games after conceding 11 in their opening five games. However, Emi Martinez suffered a scary injury against the Toffees, and he’s set to be out for a few weeks after undergoing jaw surgery. That means young Belgian Mike Penders will be in between the sticks for now.

There’s no question that it’s been a horrendous campaign for Spurs, sitting in 16th place in the table with a 1-3-3 record. However, they definitely took a step in the right direction on Monday, finally notching a Premier League win. Hopefully, that will give the club some much-needed confidence ahead of a tough clash with Chelsea.

James Maddison put Tottenham ahead early in the first half before Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies added goals in the second half against Coventry City. Roberto De Zerbi’s group finally showed promise in the final third, scoring multiple goals in a league match for just the second time this term. While their recent record against the Blues is disappointing, the last four meetings have been decided by just one goal.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Injury News

Chelsea have several notable absentees heading into Saturday, with Reece James (knee), Jamie Gittens (ankle), and Emmanuel Emegha (hamstring) sidelined. Martinez is also out after suffering a fractured jaw against Everton, while Malo Gusto (illness) and Pep Chavarria are doubtful.

Tottenham are also dealing with numerous injuries, with Xavi Simons (knee), Wilson Odobert (knee), Mykhailo Mudryk (ankle), Savio (muscle), and Lucas Bergvall (knee) all unavailable. Pedro Porro (hamstring) and Destiny Udogie (knee) are fitness concerns, while Rodrigo Bentancur remains suspended. Dejan Kulusevski has returned to the squad, providing Spurs with a boost in the final third.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Picks

Chelsea are really starting to find their footing, and although Tottenham finally won, I don’t believe they have enough to beat the Blues on home soil. Expect their flourishing attack to cause real issues for a vulnerable Spurs backline.
