To be the top scorer in the best league in the world is not an easy accomplishment, but it’s one that is well worth it. The Premier League Golden Boot goes to the player with the most goals in the English top flight, and none other than Erling Haaland sits as the favorite to repeat after bagging 27 goals last term. Below, we’ll lay out the Premier League Golden Boot futures and picks.

Haaland has steep -152 odds to win the Golden Boot at soccer betting sites. Alexander Isak, who is heading into his first full season with Liverpool – barring health – has +900 odds. Igor Thiago (+1000), Ollie Watkins (+1400), and Joao Pedro (+1600) are longshots.

Erling Haaland

Haaland has now won the Premier League Golden Boot in three of the past four seasons. Although Man City fell short of the title last term, the Norwegian striker still produced the goods, bagging 27 in 35 appearances. He remains the focal point of the Cityzens attack, even with Antoine Semenyo alongside him. Haaland has proven to be one of the most clinical finishers in world football, and it’s hard to imagine him not competing for another Golden Boot in 2026-27.

Alexander Isak

Isak’s debut campaign with Liverpool was short-lived when he suffered a brutal injury early in the season, so we never really got to see the Swede find his best at Anfield. If he stays healthy, Isak should become the focal point of Andoni Iraola's attack. Isak scored 20+ goals in back-to-back seasons with Newcastle before forcing a move to the Reds. He has a real eye for goal, and with Mo Salah gone, Isak’s opportunities will be there to score. With fantastic service, he has a chance to win this award.

Igor Thiago

Igor Thiago broke onto the scene in 2025-26 as a player who was relatively unknown, proceeding to score 22 goals for Brentford after making only a handful of appearances the previous season. Thiago’s impressive campaign earned him a spot on the Brazil national team for the World Cup, although he saw minimal minutes. Regardless, Thiago returns as an important player up top for the Bees, who will be pushing for a spot in Europe.

Ollie Watkins

Watkins is a player who may not get the most recognition for his abilities, but he’s a lethal finisher. The Aston Villa man fired home 16 goals last season, and with Morgan Rogers gone to Chelsea, there’s a possibility that Watkins could score even more this season. However, it’s difficult to imagine him keeping pace with Haaland.

Joao Pedro

Pedro finished as Chelsea’s top scorer last season, yet he wasn’t selected by Brazil for the World Cup. The former Brighton man is a versatile player in the final third, and his 15 goals last term were a career-best. He could certainly reach double digits again, but matching Haaland's production will be a difficult task.

2026-27 Premier League Golden Boot Picks

Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko are also intriguing longshots, but Haaland remains the clear pick. City’s system is built around putting the ball in and around the Norwegian, and he will win another Golden Boot as a result.
