One of the best Stanley Cup Finals in recent memory continues on Tuesday, June 9, with Game 4 between the Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights. The puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET at T-Mobile Arena. Vegas currently leads the series 2-1 after a thrilling Game 3 that required double overtime. Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Game 4 Odds

There’s no favorite for Game 4 at NHL betting sites. The Hurricanes sit at -114 on the moneyline, while the Golden Knights are priced at -112. The O/U is set at six goals, and the Over has cashed in all three games so far.

Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Game 4 Analysis

At this point, it almost seems like Carolina likes to play from behind. After a scoreless first period on Saturday in Vegas, the Hurricanes fell apart over the next 20 minutes, making several mistakes and breaking down in the neutral zone. That led to four goals from the Golden Knights, but the third was a whole different story for the visitors.

First, it was Jordan Martinook who scored just his second goal of the playoffs to get the Canes on the board. Taylor Hall and Jordan Staal then scored just 13 seconds apart to cut the Golden Knights’ lead to one. A late power play for Carolina proved to be huge, with Andrei Svechnikov sliding home the tying goal with under two minutes left in regulation. While Carolina ultimately lost in 2OT, it was a gritty performance. However, they cannot afford to keep putting themselves in a hole. Playing from behind is never a recipe for success through the course of a whole series.

The Golden Knights have been a pleasant surprise in this Stanley Cup Final, taking it right to the Canes ever since Game 1. Tomas Hertl opened the scoring on Saturday evening with a power-play goal, before playoff superstar Mitch Marner, who is searching for his first career cup, scored a hat trick within just six minutes and 10 seconds.

Although Vegas completely unraveled in the third to concede four goals, they definitely made up for it early in the second period of overtime. A lucky bounce off the wall behind Carolina’s net set up Shea Theodore for the game-winner, his sixth goal of the postseason. If the Golden Knights can win another at home, they will be sitting in a great position heading on the road, where they could potentially close this series out. But Vegas also knows that the Hurricanes will be coming out with serious fire in Game 4 after such a gut-wrenching loss.

Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Game 4 Picks

Betting on the Over in this series is an obvious moneymaker at this point, and I’ll hammer that pick again. I’m also liking Taylor Hall at Over 2.5 SOG. He’s cashed the Over in back-to-back games, registering seven shots on target combined. Hall also scored in Game 3, and he played a playoff-high 22:57.

Pick: Over 6 goals (-103), Taylor Hall Over 2.5 SOG (+125) /TonyBet
