Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev Odds
Sinner is a heavy -501 moneyline favorite at tennis betting sportsbooks. Zverev, currently the No. 2-ranked player in the world, comes back as a +380 underdog.
The Italian leads the all-time series 10-4, and he’s beaten Zverev in nine straight meetings. Sinner defeated the German in the Madrid Open final earlier this year.
Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev Analysis
Jannik Sinner has taken a somewhat unconventional path back to the Wimbledon final, surviving an early scare before settling into his usual form. The defending champion was pushed to the brink by Miomir Kecmanovic in the opening round, falling behind two sets to one before recovering to win in five. Sinner has been unstoppable since. He beat Nuno Borges in three tight sets before cruising past Jenson Brooksby and Shintaro Mochizuki without dropping a set. The Italian faced another dangerous opponent in the quarterfinals, but Jan-Lennard Struff was unable to consistently trouble the Italian. Sinner won 7-5, 7-6(4), 6-3 to book another semifinal matchup with Novak Djokovic.
Sinner saved arguably his best performance of the tournament for Friday. Facing Djokovic in a rematch of the 2025 Wimbledon semifinal, the 24-year-old controlled the match from start to finish and secured a convincing 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory. He broke the seven-time Wimbledon champion once in each set and wrapped up the contest in just over two hours. After needing five sets on the first day of the tournament, Sinner has now won 18 consecutive sets on his way back to the final.
Alexander Zverev has also grown stronger as the tournament has progressed. The German needed four sets to get past Alexander Blockx in his opener, but then rolled through Valentin Royer and Marcos Giron in straight sets. His fourth-round matchup with Jiri Lehecka was tougher, but Zverev came through in four sets to set up a quarterfinal meeting with Taylor Fritz. That matchup looked dangerous on paper, considering Zverev had lost seven straight meetings against the American, but he completely flipped the script. Zverev produced one of his best performances of the tournament in a 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 victory that sent him into his first career Wimbledon semifinal.
Standing between Zverev and Sunday’s final was British wild card Arthur Fery, who had emerged as one of the tournament's best stories. The opening set was competitive, but Zverev took control in the tiebreak and never looked back. He ultimately won 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-4 in two hours to book his first Wimbledon final appearance. Zverev has now lost just three sets across six matches and is playing with plenty of confidence after winning his first Grand Slam title at Roland-Garros last month. Sinner presents a much tougher challenge than anything he has faced so far in London, but Zverev’s serve and aggressive baseline game give him a real chance of pulling off the upset here.
Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev Picks
Zverev is playing some of the best tennis of his career right now, and if there was a time for him to finally beat Sinner, it would be now. But instead of picking a winner here, I’m eyeing this match to be a marathon five-setter. Expect an absolute battle on centre court.
