2026 NFL Futures: Sacks Leader Betting Odds Tracker

Myles Garrett broke the official NFL single-season sack record with 23.0 last year (though he only tied Al Baker’s unofficial record, set in 1978), and that puts a lot of pressure on him to repeat as the NFL’s sack king. Especially after his blockbuster move from the Browns and the doldrums of the NFL to the L.A. Rams and the big spotlight.
However, after an invisible showing in Week 1 and a subsequent knee cleanup surgery that landed him on IR, Garrett is pretty much out of the picture, leaving this race wide open.

Odds Movement
Obviously, the biggest story here is the massive preseason favourite, Myles Garrett, is essentially out of the race after stinking it up in Australia and undergoing a knee cleanup surgery that landed him on IR, which will force him to miss at least four games.
That makes the race a little more intriguing as we head into Week 2 of the campaign. Aidan Hutchinson was already one of the frontrunners, so a 2.0-sack performance in Week 1 has pushed him to the top of the pile here.
Will Anderson Jr., Trey Hendrickson, T.J. Watt, Josh Hines-Allen, and Maxx Crosby are the only other guys being given a shot by the oddsmakers, as no other players have odds below +1,000 for this futures betting market.
Preseason Best Bet: Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions (+500)
The Lions edge rusher doesn’t have massive odds either, but they still offer twice the value of Garrett. And Aidan Hutchinson feels like he’s been due for one of these crowns ever since he got in the league. He’s just a physical freak, and he’s got a nice range of pass rush moves to pick from.
He looked like he was on his way to the 2024 sack throne with 7.5 sacks through the first five games, but an injury thwarted that run. He finally put it all together with 14.5 sacks last year, good for fourth in the NFL. Four of the past five sack kings finished in the top five the year prior. And we’re also expecting a very good Lions offence to put Hutchinson in a ton of pass rush situations, giving him ample opportunity to pad his numbers.
Preseason Long Shot Dark Horse Candidate: Nick Bosa, San Francisco 49ers (+2,000)
If it weren’t for injuries, Nick Bosa probably would have led the NFL in sacks already a few times. But as it stands, he’s only done it once, in 2022. In the three full seasons he’s played since his rookie year, he has registered 15.5, 18.5, and 10.5 sacks. He’s almost always in the mix at the top if he can stay healthy. And despite what the sub station might want, Bosa looks healthy as a horse going into this campaign (knock on wood)
