Tottenham vs Coventry City Odds
Soccer betting sites have priced Spurs as a heavy -223 favorite, while Coventry returns at +520. A draw sits at +380 odds, and the O/U is set at three goals.
Tottenham have won five straight meetings across all competitions against Coventry, but this is their first meeting since the 2024 Carabao Cup and their first Premier League clash in 25 years.
Tottenham vs Coventry City Analysis
It couldn’t be a worse start to the 2026-27 campaign for Spurs. After narrowly avoiding relegation last term, they are right back in the conversation again, sitting in 19th place with a 0-3-3 record. They’re one of three sides in the top flight without a victory through the first two months, and Tottenham have been absolutely toothless in the final third, scoring only three goals in six games.
While a win was very much needed last weekend at Old Trafford, Robert De Zerbi’s men settled for a point. They were staring down another defeat until Dominic Solanke came to the rescue at the death, bagging a 93rd-minute equalizer. Now, Spurs will look to build on that result and bring Coventry back down to earth amid their impressive form.
The EFL Championship winners had a nightmare first month in the Premier League, losing all four games without scoring. But Frank Lampard’s side has responded in a positive manner, beating Nottingham Forest at the City Ground pre-international break before smashing Newcastle on home soil last Monday.
The Sky Blues are the first team in 127 years to notch back-to-back victories after dropping their opening four Premier League games. An early penalty put Coventry ahead against the Magpies before Sidiki Cherif, Ellis Simms, and Stephen Mfuni also found the back of the net in the second half. It was arguably Coventry’s most complete performance of the campaign, and they now get the chance to add to Tottenham’s misery.
Tottenham vs Coventry Injury News
Tottenham have several injury concerns heading into Monday, with Pedro Porro (hamstring) and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) both doubtful. Mykhailo Mudryk (ankle), Wilson Odobert (knee), and Xavi Simons (knee) remain sidelined, while Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended following his red card against Manchester United.
Coventry will be without Haji Wright (thigh), Josh Eccles (ankle), Luke Woolfenden (knee), and Aurele Amenda (calf). However, the Sky Blues receive a boost with Taiwo Awoniyi available again after serving a three-match suspension, while Kaine Kesler-Hayden has recovered from a hamstring injury.
Tottenham vs Coventry City Picks
I have little confidence in Spurs' ability to win right now, especially against a Coventry side riding a two-match winning streak. However, Tottenham's late equalizer against United could provide a much-needed confidence boost. With both sides having reasons to believe they can take something from this fixture, I'll back the draw at an appealing +380.
