UFC Mexico Main Card Parlay, Best Bets, & Odds

When the UFC puts on a Fight Night card, expectations generally shouldn’t be that high. But expectations were surely succeeded at last weekend’s rowdy UFC Houston Fight Night, which included stoppages and upsets galore. UFC Mexico this weekend will look to replicate that success.
The main card for UFC Fight Night 268 at Arena CDMX in the nation’s capital has a few solid fights at the top of the schedule, but after that, it gets dire. We’ll see more than a few Mexican fighters duking it out in front of their home crowd, which should make up for the lack of star power at the event.
One of those Mexican pugilists performing on Saturday night is the main headliner of the event, former two-time flyweight champ Brandon Moreno. But leading up to that main event we do have some decent matchups. Chito Vera and David Martinez square off in a battle of top 10 bantamweights, lightweight veterans Daniel Zellhuber and King Green go toe-to-toe, and flyweights Edgar Chairez and Felipe Bunes scrap it out. Check out the UFC betting odds as well as our best bets on those fights and our UFC Mexico parlay!
Highlights

- 6 of Daniel Zellhuber’s 7 UFC fights have gone to the final bell
- Edgar Chairez (30) has a surprising 6-year age advantage over Felipe Bunes (36)

No. 9 Marlon “Chito” Vera vs. No. 10 David Martinez Ranked Bantamweight Bout Betting Odds
| Fighter | Moneyline | Spread | Rounds | Win by Decision | Win by KO/TKO/DQ | Win by Submission | Go the Distance |
| Marlon Vera | +260 | +3.5 (-145) | O2.5 (-440) | +450 | +850 | +1,400 | Yes (-365) |
| David Martinez | -310 | -3.5 (+115) | U2.5 (+310) | -175 | +650 | +2,000 | No (+265) |
This should be a fun one in the bantamweight division. Marlon “Chito” Vera (23-11-1) is still tough as a box of nails, but at 33 years old and with many hours of MMA on his body, he is starting to slow. He has lost three straight coming into this one, and we believe he may be set up here as the gatekeeper for a young up-and-comer in 27-year-old David Martinez (13-1).
Martinez is a little smaller than Vera, but he’s younger and more spry and he’s at home, as he hails from Ecatepec in Edomex State. He’s the better kick-boxer at this point in both of their careers, and this one’s not going to the ground. And when you bet against Vera, you can pretty much always get the added value of betting him to lose via decision: Chito has never been finished in his pro MMA career.
Best Bet: David Martinez to Win via Decision (-175)
Daniel Zellhuber vs. King Green Lightweight Bout Betting Odds
| Fighter | Moneyline | Spread | Rounds | Win by Decision | Win by KO/TKO/DQ | Win by Submission | Go the Distance |
| Daniel Zellhuber | -425 | -3.5 (-250) | O2.5 (-115) | +190 | +145 | +500 | Yes (+115) |
| King Green | +325 | +3.5 (+190) | U2.5 (-115) | +500 | +1,100 | +2,500 | No (-145) |
Daniel Zellhuber (15-3) is one of those “what could have been” guys. He came in with all the fanfare, and he seemingly has all the talent and tools to be a great one. But he’s too cool for school. He’s aloof, nonchalant. King Green (33-17-1, 1 NC) always fights with urgency.
Zellhuber is coming off of back-to-back losses, but he gets a chance to bounce back here against a version of Green that is a few months shy of 40 years old. Green is still tough though, and while he has been finished in pretty brutal ways in recent years, Zellhuber hasn’t had a knockout since his pre-UFC days. In fact, six of the Mexican’s seven UFC fights have gone to the judges. We think this one will too.
Best Bet: Fight To Go The Distance - Yes (+115)
Edgar Chairez vs. Felipe Bunes Flyweight Bout Betting Odds
| Fighter | Moneyline | Spread | Rounds | Win by Decision | Win by KO/TKO/DQ | Win by Submission | Go the Distance |
| Edgar Chairez | -300 | -3.5 (-230) | O2.5 (+110) | +230 | +225 | +260 | Yes (+140) |
| Felipe Bunes | +245 | +3.5 (+175) | U2.5 (-140) | +550 | +1,600 | +800 | No (-180) |
Edgar Chairez (12-6, 1 NC) may be coming into this one on a layoff of nearly a year, but he’s still a massive favorite over Felipe Bunes (14-8). Chairez, believe it or not, just turned 30 while Bunes is turning 37 later this year. As a general rule of thumb, the younger fighter wins about 60 percent when there is an age gap of 6+ years in a UFC fight. Chairez, with his ability as a kick-boxer as well as his wrestling, is the more complete fighter, and with that youthful energy, he should be able to pay out as the favorite.
Best Bet: Edgar Chairez Moneyline (-300)

UFC Mexico: Moreno vs. Kavanagh Main Event Betting Predictions & Odds
The UFC hasn’t exactly scheduled the most star-studded main card for this UFC Mexico event in Mexico City on the final day of February. But what it does have is a great fighter in the main event, as former flyweight champ Brandon Moreno dances with unproven UFC newcomer Lone’er Kavanagh.
