Eagles vs. Bears MNF Week 3 Betting Odds & Best Bets

This was shaping up to be one of the most interesting games of the early season schedule, but with Chicago Bears standout QB Caleb Williams having been officially ruled out on Saturday due to that near-death hamstring injury, it won’t be quite as interesting.

The Bears are still at home, and it seems likely that Tyson Bagent, who gets paid pretty well for a backup, will get the ball and the start if he can clear concussion protocol on Sunday. However, the 2-0 Eagles have been so unimpressive so far this season that even against this backup quarterback they are only favoured by a smidge more than a field goal.

This should have been a tough game to call, but then Caleb Williams got shot in the leg, throwing that all out the window. However, funny enough, even with Tyson Bagent likely to start under center, this game actually remains a tough one to call.

We’re pretty confident the Eagles will win, but the way they’ve won their first two games with last minute heroics against the Commanders and Titans–two 0-2 teams that have looked about as bad as any teams have through two weeks–we’re not as confident as we might be.

There is every chance that the Eagles take Bagent lightly and he leads the Bears to a competent performance that has Philly fans ripping their hair out in the fourth quarter for the third straight week.

The Eagles really do like to mess around, but we don’t think even they will be able to mess this one up so bad that they actually lose on the moneyline. Especially considering how poor the Chicago run defence has been, which we will get to in more depth momentarily.

Momentarily is here. So, the Bears can’t stop the run. That’s one of the few things we learned about them across the most bipolar two-game start to a season you’ll ever see. 59 points, then three. Nobody could have seen that coming. Except maybe those who clocked their inability to defend the ground game.

They beat the breaks off the Panthers in Week 1 but still gave up 125 rushing yards on a pretty respectable clip. Then in Week 2, with the weather bad and the scores low and the running games predictable, they gave up a 100-yard game to the aging Aaron Jones, who has just three such games since the start of 2024.

Now, they’ll have one of the best backs in football in Saquon Barkley to contend with. He suffered a stinger last week, but he’s back to full practice participation, and we think he’s going to get a ton of carries in this one. It could very well be his breakout game for the 2026 campaign. That’s why we like him to not only hit his rushing yards prop, but score his first TD of the season as well.
