NFL Week 1 Late Sunday 4PM Betting Odds & Best Bets

After what seemed like a never-ending offseason, real NFL football is finally back. That feels so good to say. The 1 p.m. ET slate on Sundays is always busy and hectic, which sometimes leaves the later 4 p.m. ET slate without much intrigue.
But we’re here to solve that once again. Later during the 2025 season, we began doing best bets for those late afternoon games to give them a little extra juice. We went 22-14 on those picks for +2.81 units, and we’ll look to build on that record here in 2026. Read on for our 4 p.m. slate best bets, including the top NFL betting odds from the most popular Ontario sportsbooks!
2025 Late Sunday 4PM Best Bets Record: 22-14 (+2.81)
Highlights
- Jacoby Brissett threw for over 225 yards in 10 of 12 starts last year
- With Brock Bowers out, Michael Mayer should step up for the Raiders
- Justin Jefferson had 80+ receiving yards in 3 of his last 4 meetings with the Packers
NFL Week 1: Late Sunday 4PM Betting Odds & Best Bets
All betting odds provided by Betway.
Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Chargers - 4:25PM
| Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total (Over/Under) |
| Arizona Cardinals | +375 | +9.5 (-110) | O47.5 (-105) |
| Los Angeles Chargers | -500 | -9.5 (-110) | U47.5 (-115) |
We obviously don’t want to be betting on the Cardinals this year. But with the odds the way they are here, we also can’t really bet on the Chargers either. At 9.5 points, you leave yourself open to a very frustrating late game back door cover by Jacoby Brissett and company.
So instead, we’ll just bet on Brissett, who had over 225 passing yards in 10 of his 12 starts last season. Playing from behind in L.A., that trend should continue.
Best Bet: Jacoby Brissett Over 224.5 Pass Yards (-110)
Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings - 4:25PM
| Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total (Over/Under) |
| Green Bay Packers | +105 | +1.5 (-110) | O46.5 (-110) |
| Minnesota Vikings | +125 | -1.5 (-110) | U46.5 (-110) |
This one of those games that’s simply too tough to call. The Vikings are favoured at home, but we’re not sure they should be. In an ideal world, we’d like to bet on Minnesota’s spread as a home underdog, but oddsmakers won’t let us here.
Instead, we’ll go to one of the most reliable players on either team: Justin Jefferson. He had 70+ yards in half his games last year catching passes from the residents of the island of misfit toys. With Kyler Murray in there, he should have no problem hitting this number regularly. He had 101 yards in the season finale against the Packers last year and had 85+ in both matchups with the Cheeseheads in 2024.
Best Bet: Justin Jefferson To Record 70+ Receiving Yards (-110)
Miami Dolphins @ Las Vegas Raiders - 4:25PM
| Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total (Over/Under) |
| Miami Dolphins | +145 | +3.5 (-120) | O40.5 (-110) |
| Las Vegas Raiders | -170 | -3.5 (+100) | U40.5 (-110) |
This is another one that’s too close to call. We can’t tell which of these two teams wants the 2027 first overall pick more. We think the Dolphins, but who knows. With Brock Bowers out, the Raiders offence gets thrown into chaos. Kirk Cousins is likely to look for a big, reliable target in his absence.
Enter Michael Mayer. The Raiders have an awful receiving corps so the 6’4”, 260-lbs Mayer should be one of the top targets. Mayer had 47+ yards in three of the four games he played in without Bowers last season.
Best Bet: Michael Mayer Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles - 4:25PM
| Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total (Over/Under) |
| Washington Commanders | +195 | +5.5 (-110) | O44.5 (-110) |
| Philadelphia Eagles | -240 | -5.5 (-110) | U44.5 (-110) |
The Commanders can often get a wonky result against the Eagles even if Philly has a massive advantage in talent, as they do here. But we’re not sure that voodoo is going to work here in Week 1 with the Eagles playing at home. We think Philly is going to win double-digit games again this year, and the Commanders will struggle to make it to .500. Head coach Nick Sirianni is 5-0 in Week 1 with the Eagles.
Best Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -5.5 Point Spread (-110)
