But there always has to be one disappointment. And for the second straight week it was Christian McCaffrey letting us down with just 66 scrimmage yards in a blowout win over the Dolphins.

Still, 4-1 ain’t half bad, and it’s brought us comfortably into the black after just two weeks of the campaign. We’ve got one less game this time around with the late Sunday afternoon schedule featuring the more standard four-game slate in Week 3. Arizona Cardinals (1-1) @ San Francisco 49ers (2-0) - 4:05PM

Yes, yes, we know. We just said that Christian McCaffrey has thwarted us on our bet slips in each of the first two weeks of the season. But the third time is the charm, and we believe with a player like this the bill always comes due eventually.

And why not against a division-rival Cardinals defence that just gave up 162 rush yards to the likes of Emmanuel Wilson and Jadarian Price? CMC and the 49ers will be playing with the lead, and we think this is the week he breaks a big one. Hopefully it’s not on a screen.

Best Bet: Christian McCaffrey Over 55.5 Rush Yards (-110)

Minnesota Vikings (2-0) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-2) - 4:05PM

This is one of the toughest ones for us to pick because all the trends point to the Bucs getting their first win of the year. But the Vikings have just been too unpredictable so far this year. And with Kyler Murray back in the starting lineup, a result bet here is too uncertain.

Justin Jefferson is the most reliable player here, and he even had 55 yards in that ugly 9-3 game last week. He should have no trouble finding space against a Bucs pass defence that just got diced up by Deshaun Watson in the big 2026.

Baltimore Ravens (1-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (1-1) - 4:25PM (NEUTRAL GAME/BRAZIL)

If this was played anywhere in America, we’d be frothing at the mouth to take the over here. But with the game scheduled for a mid-evening start at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, we can’t bet on the over in good conscience.

Since the COVID lockdown, a time during which international NFL games have blossomed, ironically enough, we have seen just two of 25 games on foreign soil go over this massive 53.5-point total. Not to mention there have already been tons of complaints about the quality of the field they’ll be playing on.

Best Bet: Game Total Points Under 53.5 (-110)

Las Vegas Raiders (2-0) @ New Orleans Saints (1-1) - 4:25PM

This is probably the easiest pick of the late slate. The Raiders may have the better record at 2-0, but the Saints have looked a lot more impressive in pushing the Lions to overtime and beating the Ravens outright.

New Orleans is at home, and we think they could really stick it to the Raiders in this one as they announce themselves as a team to be taken seriously this year. We’ll play it safe and stick with a moneyline bet though.
