My Verdict
Proline+ is brought to us by the government, meaning it has excellent safety and security, but there are also some key areas where it is limited. The Proline+ sportsbook lacks an abundance of payment methods, and its sports coverage falls behind many competitors. However, there are also areas where the betting site certainly shines. It has a great app, top-notch features, and even some high-quality promotional offers.
Proline has been a brand name in the betting world for Ontario residents for a while now, and Proline+ represents a significant step up for the website. The Proline+ app is excellent, and the design of both the app and website is exceptional. I also felt very confident using this website, given the fact that it has been created by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, a government entity.
Despite some weaknesses, Proline+ also has some solid strengths. Like every sportsbook, there is a mix of good and bad. I enjoyed my experience with this website, but would have enjoyed it more if they worked on improving some of the areas I have noted.
My rating: 4/5

Proline+ Sportsbook Review
Proline+, also referred to by gamblers as Proline Plus, is a highly regarded addition to the Canadian gambling market. This sportsbook was launched by the OLG following the legalization of single-game sports betting in Canada, representing a substantial improvement on the pre-existing Proline.
This is one of the rare sports betting sites that has come to Canadians directly from the government. That means bettors can expect things like excellent security, a great website design, and a top-notch mobile experience. But they also should be aware of the limitations that tend to come with government-provided sportsbooks, like a lack of niche sports offered and limited payment options.
In this Proline+ review, we’re going to cover it all. We’ll break down everything you’ve been dying to know about the Proline+ sportsbook, from the great features it offers to its spectacular app. Ready? Let’s begin.
Is Proline+ Legal in Canada?
Yes, Proline+ is fully legal, but it is only available to bettors in Ontario. Bettors need to exercise caution if they are registering for a betting site, as putting their money with the wrong gambling operator can cause serious problems down the road. However, there is no need to have any concerns if you are an Ontario resident.
Proline+ is a staple of sports betting in Ontario, as it was created by the provincial government-owned OLG. 100% of proceeds from the website are reinvested in provincial priorities, as it is a non-profit website. They are licensed and operated in the market.
What this means is that bettors from Ontario can confidently wager with the Proline+ sportsbook without the fear of running afoul of the government or having their payment information taken. Proline+ is fully legal, and Ontario residents 19 or over are capable of partaking. But if you are not from Ontario, you are not going to be able to use this website. It is for residents of the province only.
Proline+ Welcome Bonus
Proline+, like most other sports betting operators, offers bettors a welcome bonus to encourage them to register and deposit. The Proline+ bonus is a straightforward offer that gamblers will enjoy. Compared to other sportsbook bonuses, the amount offered is solid, and the terms and conditions are roughly in line with what you’d expect from most betting sites.
Below, we’ll dive into what this bonus offer is, how to claim it, and the key terms and conditions that set it apart.
How to Claim the Bonus
- Sign up with the Proline+ sportsbook
- Opt into the Sports bonus offer
- Deposit a minimum of $10 into your account
- Place an eligible bet within seven days of your deposit
- Receive your bet credits if the bet does not cash!
Key Terms and Conditions
- Minimum deposit/wager of $10
- Available only in Ontario to people who have not registered before
- Place a bet within seven days of deposit
- Credits received won’t exceed $500
Proline+ Best Sports Features
Proline+ is a betting site that excels in the features it offers its users. This is one area where bettors will be sure to be delighted. Features are the embedded aspects of a website that typically do not get altered, so having a sportsbook that offers the features you love is hugely important.
Below, we'll take a look at the premier features offered by Proline+.
- Same-Game Parlays: Proline+ allows users to craft same-game parlays for football, hockey, soccer, and basketball. These are customized parlays that can feature multiple outcomes from one sporting event.
- Parlay Boosts: Proline+ has a feature that boosts winnings on parlays for users with parlay bets that have four or more legs. Winnings can be enhanced up to 50%.
- Live Betting: Like many other betting sites, Proline+ enables users to wager on outcomes that are already underway. Bettors can bet on a range of sports as they’re being played.
- Horse Racing: Proline+ allows users to bet on horse racing, which is not offered on many Ontario betting sites. This is an ideal thrill for those who love the races.
- Mobile App: This betting site offers a high-quality Proline+ app. We’ll dive into more details on the app later on, but this is a highly sought-after feature.
Proline+ Sports Coverage
Sports coverage is a hugely important component of a great website. While Canadians tend to bet on the same few sports, the more sports that a betting site offers, the better. Proline+ has great coverage of the leagues that Canadians typically care about, but its niche sports offerings fall short of many competitors.
Proline+ only has 16 sports covered on its website. Luckily for gamblers, these 16 cover the most popular sports for betting in Canada, so only those who are looking to bet on less popular options will be left disappointed by this.
Below, let’s check out some of the most popular sports and leagues to bet on with Proline+.
- NFL: The National Football League is wildly popular across North America, and Proline+ has excellent coverage of this league, with dozens of odds for every game, including player props.
- CFL: The Canadian Football League is a historic and beloved league started by and for Canadians. Proline+ offers top-quality coverage of the CFL all the way through to the Grey Cup.
- NBA: The National Basketball Association has exploded in popularity across Canada, particularly as the Raptors found success at the highest level. Proline+ offers extensive coverage of this league, with a huge range of markets.
- MLB: Major League Baseball is a league that dates back well over a century, and there are a vast number of Canadian fans and bettors that Proline+ caters to. They have coverage of every game with a great variety of odds.
- Soccer: Soccer is the world’s most popular sport, and Proline+ does not make the mistake of forgetting that. They have extensive coverage of leagues around the world, including the MLS, Premier League, La Liga, and more.
- UFC: The Ultimate Fighting Championship is the world’s premier Mixed Martial Arts league. Proline+ enables Canadians to bet on the biggest UFC bouts between globally recognized fighters.
Proline+ Betting Markets and Types of Bets
The sports covered on Proline+ are not all that gamblers should be thinking about. It is also important to be aware of the betting markets and types of bets that are available on the sportsbook.
Proline+ has a range of great markets on its website. I was particularly happy to see that they have player props for NFL games, something I know is very important to a lot of bettors. This is an area where they really stand out.
Let’s take a quick look at the different betting markets and types of bets that are available on Proline+.
Betting Markets:
- Moneyline: Moneyline bets are wagers on the direct outcomes of a match. If you pick the Blue Jays on the moneyline, you’ve picked them to win their game.
- Point Spread: The point spread is a line representing oddsmakers' potential score differential. One team will be favoured by a certain margin, and bettors can bet for or against that margin, meaning the favoured team will either exceed or fall short of that amount.
- Over/Under: The over/under is a line that represents the projected total combined amount of points/runs/goals in a game. Bettors can bet the over, meaning the teams exceed that line, or the under.
- Outright/Futures: Outrights/futures are long-term bets within a sport or league. Bettors can wager on things like who will win the Stanley Cup or which NFL player will take home MVP.
- Game/Player Props: Game and player props are outcomes within a game that gamblers can wager on, with a massive variety offered in this area. Game props are tied to teams, so things like which team will have more shots in the first period, while player props are tied to players, and can be things like whether a player will score or not.
Types of Bets Available:
- Live Betting: Live betting is when gamblers wager on a game that is already underway. Most sportsbooks have this available, and Proline+ certainly does. Their odds algorithm updates as the game is played.
- Parlays: Parlays are when betting sites tie multiple wagers into a single bet, with the odds multiplying according to how many wagers are in the parlay. For the parlay to cash, each bet within it must also hit.
Proline+ Mobile App
Having a downloadable app is a feature that many bettors highlight as one of the most important to them. Luckily for those who love mobile gambling, there is a high-quality Proline+ app available for both Android and iOS users.
The benefit of betting apps for users is the ease of access and convenience they provide, and this is certainly the case with the Proline+ mobile option. Users can download this app directly from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and keep it on their phone. This makes it easier than ever to place a wager.
I downloaded the Proline+ Apple app and found it to be easy to use with a pleasing mobile display. It has all the great features and aspects of the desktop version that gamblers love. But if you are someone who doesn’t like the idea of downloading an app, don’t worry! You can still enjoy the mobile version of this sportsbook’s website from your smartphone browser.
Proline+ Banking Options
Before you can start betting with Proline+, you are going to need to deposit. Banking with sports betting sites requires gamblers to input their payment information, which is naturally something that bettors can be antsy about. However, it is worth noting that Proline+ is a government-operated betting site, so they are likely as safe an option as you will find for deposits and withdrawals.
If there is one major drawback to mention about Proline+, it is their lack of deposit and withdrawal options. For deposits, they only have Interac, Apple Pay, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. These are highly conventional payment methods most bettors have access to, so it should be fine. But there are many sportsbooks that take more than a dozen different payment methods, so this falls well short of that.
The Proline+ withdrawal experience is much more limited. They only allow for bank transfers. So, for bettors to withdraw, they'll need to provide their bank account information, and these forms of transactions normally take several days to be completed. While this is not ideal, we intend for this to be an honest Proline+ review, so you must take the bad with the good.
Overall, the experience of banking with Proline+ is solid. They have a quality interface and offer the payment methods most gamblers seek out. Some variety would certainly help their cause.
Below is a breakdown of the deposit methods that are available on the site.
| Payment Method | Minimum Deposit | Associated Fees |
| Interac | $15 | $0 |
| Apple Pay | $15 | $0 |
| Visa | $15 | $0 |
| MasterCard | $15 | $0 |
| American Express | $15 | $0 |
Proline+ Customer Support
Having good customer support options available to bettors in the event of difficulty while using the website is incredibly important. Issues can happen, so access to the help you need goes a long way. Proline+ has highly helpful customer support features designed to help gamblers get through any potential issue.
There are several ways to get assistance if you are running into issues. One is through their FAQ/support page. Here, gamblers can search different topics and see answers to some of the most frequently asked questions, as well as useful guides.
If you need to contact a representative, then there are also great features that can aid in that. Proline+ has 24/7 support options with their Live Chat feature, which enables users to message back and forth with a helpful representative. If you want to talk directly to someone, they also have a phone line, allowing users to speak on the phone with a representative. This is available from 8 am to midnight.
I elected to use the live chat feature and found it easy to use and efficient. The support staff were responsive, quick, and helpful.
Below are all the customer support options on Proline+.
| Support Feature | Contact Information |
| FAQ/Help Center | Found on the Bottom of the Home Page |
| Live Chat | Chat Bubble on Bottom Right of Screen |
| Phone Line | 1-855-978-7529 |

Yes. When you bet at retail Proline+ locations, you will not be allowed to make a bet of more than $100 on a single outcome. OLG also has a sports wagering limit for POOLS is $500 per customer, per day, per location for in-person sports betting.
