The Favourites
Myles Garrett (+250) had a historic season last year. But if the other 14 (official) seasons of 20+ sacks are anything to go by, it means he likely won’t have another big year in 2026. In those other 14 seasons, the only two (Reggie White and J.J. Watt) led the league in sacks the next year.
In fact, in the year following their 20-plus-sack seasons, those 14 guys averaged a drop of 8.5 sacks and recorded an average of 11.1 sacks overall. With that in mind and the fact that Garrett will also be acclimating to the first non-Cleveland Browns offseason he’s ever had, we don’t like him for this futures market. Especially considering those puny odds.
Our Best Bet: Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions (+500)
The Lions edge rusher doesn’t have massive odds either, but they still offer twice the value of Garrett. And Aidan Hutchinson feels like he’s been due for one of these crowns ever since he got in the league. He’s just a physical freak, and he’s got a nice range of pass rush moves to pick from.
He looked like he was on his way to the 2024 sack throne with 7.5 sacks through the first five games, but an injury thwarted that run. He finally put it all together with 14.5 sacks last year, good for fourth in the NFL. Four of the past five sack kings finished in the top five the year prior. And we’re also expecting a very good Lions offence to put Hutchinson in a ton of pass rush situations, giving him ample opportunity to pad his numbers.
Long Shot Dark Horse Candidate: Nick Bosa, San Francisco 49ers (+2,000)
If it weren’t for injuries, Nick Bosa probably would have led the NFL in sacks already a few times. But as it stands, he’s only done it once, in 2022. In the three full seasons he’s played since his rookie year, he has registered 15.5, 18.5, and 10.5 sacks. He’s almost always in the mix at the top if he can stay healthy. And despite what the sub station might want, Bosa looks healthy as a horse going into this campaign (knock on wood)
