The 2022 World Cup finalists will finally take the pitch on Day 6 of the 2026 tournament, with France facing Senegal to start the day.

Later on, title-holders Argentina faces Algeria, while Erling Haaland's Norway meets with Iraq. To round of the June 16 action, Austria and Jordan lock horns in a late-night clash in San Francisco.

Below, we'll dive into our daily World Cup 2026 betting tips

Top Picks for World Cup Day 6 | June 16

France vs Senegal

France Over 1.5 Goals (-152)

Les Bleus are one of the favorites to lift the trophy, and for good reason. Didier Deschamps' side won in 2018 and fell in the final in '22 in Qatar. The quality in all areas is clear for France, but it's their attack that really stands out. We're talking about the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Michael Olise, and Desire Doue, among others. Les Bleus never struggle to produce the goods in the final third, and while Senegal is no easy team to beat, they do have their vulnerabilities defensively, and they will be tested by the combination of pace, skill, and technical abilities of France's frontline. However, the AFCON champions will also find a moment of brilliance in the final third. The French have conceded in five straight games, and Senegal has found the back of the net in four of their previous five matches.

🗸 Long Shot: Kylian Mbappe Anytime Goal (-111)
🗸 Extra Tip: Both Teams to Score (+115)

Iraq vs Norway

Norway to Win Nil (-133)

Norway makes their long-awaited return to the World Cup, and they were one of the most dominant sides in European Qualifying. The Nordic outfit didn't lose a single game, winning all eight and bagging an astounding 37 goals. Manager Stale Solbakken has Norway playing phenomenal football, and they're a well-oiled machine on both ends of the pitch. Iraq doesn't exactly have a ton of attacking prowess, and boss Graham Arnold is a defensive-minded coach who would likely be happy with a point here. Erling Haaland will do his part in helping the Norwegians take three points on matchday one after scoring 38 times for Manchester City in 2025-26. He also netted 16 goals in qualifying for Norway, and Iraq's backline will have a difficult time stopping such a physical and clinical force.

🗸 Long Shot: Erling Haaland Over 2.5 SOG by Foot (+154)
🗸 Extra Tip: Erling Haaland to Score First (+160)

Argentina vs Algeria

Argentina to Win Nil (-106)

The reigning champions begin their title defense against Algeria, back in the World Cup for the first time since 2014. La Albiceleste enters the tournament in wonderful form, winning five straight games and conceding just once during that span. While Lionel Scaloni was dealing with a plethora of injuries leading up to the World Cup, Argentina is relatively healthy now, and most importantly, Lionel Messi and Lautaro Martinez are expected to lead the line on Tuesday in Kansas City. Martinez just scored 17 goals this past season in 30 appearances for Inter Milan. The South American giants are still an international force, and Algeria hasn't faced a side this strong in recent memory. While they're still a quality team, Argentina's attack has far too much talent, and Scaloni's backline has rarely conceded lately. It'll be a slim win in a tough group fixture for La Albiceleste, and they will keep another clean sheet.

🗸 Long Shot: Lionel Messi Anytime Assist (+220)
🗸 Extra Tip: Lautaro Martinez Anytime Goal (+110)

Austria vs Jordan

Austria Over 2.5 Goals (+125)

Austria will be looking to advance from Group J, which also features Argentina, Jordan, and Algeria. Ralf Rangnick's men absolutely need a victory here in what is regarded as their easiest game of the lot. The Austrians were impressive in qualifying with just one defeat, and they've won three straight leading up to the World Cup. While Austria only scored Over 2.5 goals in one of those matches, they're up against a Jordanian side who is in very poor form, conceding at least twice in their previous five outings. Austria will control possession and rely on the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Marcel Sabitzer to make things happen in the final third. Expect them to push relentlessly in the opposition's half, and cruise to a convincing victory.

🗸 Long Shot: Marcel Sabitzer Anytime Goal (+130)
🗸 Extra Tip: Marko Arnautovic Over 1.5 SOG by Foot (+100)
