In LaLiga, which begins in mid-August, it’s the usual suspects who are expected to taking home the grand prize at the season’s end. Real Madrid are a heavy favorite to reclaim the title, but Barcelona cannot be counted out, either. Below, we’ll dive into the analysis.

2025-26 LaLiga Futures: Outright Winner

ClubOdds
Real Madrid-125
Barcelona+120
Atletico Madrid+800
Villarreal+6600
Athletic Bilbao+6600
Real Betis+10000
Real Sociedad+10000

As you can see, Madrid sits as a -125 frontrunner, while Barca has +120 odds. Atletico Madrid are third at most soccer betting sites. After that, the odds lengthen drastically. It will be between these three clubs, but one could argue that Atletico’s chances are low, too.

Real Madrid (-125)

The 2024-25 season was a disappointing one for Real Madrid. They didn’t win a single trophy, which is frankly unheard of for a club of this stature. Carlo Ancelotti ultimately left the Spanish capital for the Brazil job, with Xabi Alonso taking over after finding success at Bayer Leverkusen over the last few seasons. Los Blancos were embarrassed in the Club World Cup this summer by PSG in the knockout stages, but there shouldn’t be much wait put on it considering it was after a long, grueling campaign.

Madrid’s squad will look more or less the same this season, with Mbappe looking to build off his first season in a Los Blancos shirt, where he scored 31 goals in 34 matches. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen will strengthen the Madrid backline. The club finished four points behind Barca in last year’s title race.

Barcelona (+120)

Barcelona was back on top last term for the second time in the last three seasons, with their electrifying attack shining. Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha were all brilliant and will have a new teammate in the final third this season, with Marcus Rashford joining on a season-long loan from Manchester United. The Catalans bagged a whopping 102 goals in just 38 games in ‘24-25 while conceding only 39 times. Hansi Flick has a very strong side at his disposal, and Rashford should be a nice addition, having been a phenomenal player at one time in the Premier League. Despite Barca’s odds sitting at +120, they have all the ability to repeat and beat out their foes for yet another title. The side should also be a scary team in the Champions League, too.

Atletico Madrid (+800)

A long shot at +800, Atletico has always been a good team under Diego Simeone. Perhaps they’re not the most exciting squad to watch, but Atleti always seem to find positive results. They finished in third spot last season with a 22-10-6 record. Atletico had the same number of defeats as Barca – it was their 10 draws that set them apart. It’s been a rather busy transfer window for the club, bringing in several players including Thiago Almada, Johnny Cardoso, and Alex Baena from Villarreal. Alexander Sorloth had a wonderful debut campaign in Madrid last term, bagging 20 goals to lead the way. Julian Alvarez also stood out after arriving from Manchester City, hitting the back of the net 17 times.

LaLiga Futures Picks

I love Atleti’s strike duo of Sorloth and Alvarez, but it’s a two-man race for the LaLiga title. It will come down to Barcelona and Madrid, as it always does. It’s best to put money down on both Spanish giants right now.
