Nik Bonitto (DEN) - 10+ Sacks (+100): The Denver Broncos are a popular preseason pick to take a step forward in 2025. Some doubt this because of Bo Nix, but we’re believers because of the defense. They had 63 sacks last year (nine more than any other team) and were second in pressure rate at 27.7 percent. Nik Bonitto is the cream of their pass-rushing crop, and with John Franklin-Myers, Zach Allen, and Jonathon Cooper still in the mix (all had 7+ sacks last year), he will face minimal double-teams. He had 13.5 last year, so even with a slight regression in sack numbers, Bonitto will hit this number.
Aidan Hutchinson (DET) - 15+ Sacks (+160): Aidan Hutchinson has not reached the 15-sack plateau yet in his career, but he has had 19.0 sacks in his last 22 games across 2023-2024. That puts him on a 15-sack pace over a full 17-game season. He’s had more than enough time to rehab, and all signs are pointing to Hutch bursting out of the gates in 2025.
Bradley Chubb (MIA) - 10+ Sacks (+200): In his last full season in 2023, Bradley Chubb had 11.0 sacks before tearing his ACL in the penultimate game of the season. He’s had a full year and a half to get back to full health, and the Dolphins actually have sneaky depth in the pass rush with Jaelan Phillips and last year’s first round pick, Chop Robinson also taking up offensive line attention.
T.J. Watt (PIT) - 15+ Sacks (+220): He had 11.5 sacks and earned Second-Team All-Pro honors last year, but 2024 was a down year by T.J. Watt’s lofty standards. He missed seven games in 2022, but apart from that, Watt has reached double-digit sacks every year since his rookie season. He had 19.0 in 2023, a record-tying 22.5 in 2021, 15.0 in 2020, 14.5 in 2019, and 13.0 in 2018. It’s clear that 14-15 sacks is his general baseline, so we’ll take these 3-to-1 odds all day.
