This is actually just the second time he’s reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, previously making this stage in the 2021 edition. Ruud hasn’t had a lot of success in the first Slam of the year, but he has an opportunity here to grab a third victory against Shelton, and potentially book a spot in the quarterfinals of the tournament. It will be interesting to see if he can continue his success versus the American star.
