Bayern Munich vs PSG Odds

Bayern is surprisingly a heavy -159 home favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. PSG returns at +330 odds, and given the way they played last week on home soil, that number offers immense value. The O/U is set at 4.5 goals after both sides put on a clinical display in Leg 1.

Bayern Munich vs PSG Analysis

Bayern has already wrapped up the Bundesliga title once again, so the focus is strictly on conquering Europe. Vincent Kompany’s side isn’t far away from doing so, but they do head into the second leg down by a goal. The Bavarians exchanged blows early on with PSG, but the hosts ultimately took a 5-2 lead, putting the visitors in a concerning hole. However, Munich bounced back, with Dayot Upamecano and Luis Diaz both scoring to cut the deficit to 5-4 for Wednesday, giving Bayern a fighting chance.

Kompany’s group is coming off a 3-3 draw over the weekend against Heidenheim, but it’s important to note that the Belgian manager did rest a lot of his starters, with Michael Olise, Diaz, and Harry Kane only coming on as second-half substitutes. The three attackers will come into this fixture relatively fresh, and they will undoubtedly be key.

Paris is only a couple of victories away from repeating as Champions League winners, and they’re arguably the strongest side in the world at the moment. While the Ligue 1 title isn’t totally wrapped up, PSG is six points clear at the top. That being said, they’re just as focused on securing another European trophy.

PSG truly ripped apart Bayern’s backline last week, scoring three goals in a span of 12 minutes to break the 2-2 deadlock in the second half. Ousmane Dembele was the star of the show for Luis Enrique’s squad, bagging two goals and also supplying an assist. But despite having the advantage for the second leg, Paris will not be taking Bayern for granted, especially considering their impressive form at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich vs PSG Injury News

There are no fresh injury concerns for Bayern Munich heading into the second leg, with Vincent Kompany receiving a boost on the fitness front. Lennart Karl and Raphaël Guerreiro have both recovered from recent issues and are available, leaving Serge Gnabry as the only confirmed absentee.
Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, has been dealt a notable setback after Achraf Hakimi picked up a hamstring injury in the first leg, ruling him out for the next few weeks. His absence is likely to see Warren Zaïre-Emery slot into a deeper role, with Fabián Ruiz coming back into midfield alongside Vitinha and João Neves to maintain PSG’s usual structure.

Bayern Munich vs PSG Picks

These two sides are pure entertainment, and I expect another tasty clash. But Bayern isn’t in its best form, and PSG is truly the real deal from front to back. The visitors will prevail and book their ticket to the final.
