Bengals vs. Steelers Point Spread/Moneyline Prediction
Much like the division “rival” they walloped 23-9 at home last week (the Browns), the Steelers’ Week 7 opponent is one against whom they’ve had an insane success rate in recent years. They have not just dominated Cincy, they’ve done so in Cincinnati, winning 11 of the last 14 games between these teams at Paul Brown Stadium. 10 of those 11 wins came by 4+ points.
This Bengals defense can’t stop anything, and we doubt that Joe Flacco will be able to get enough of a handle on this playbook in time to have success against a Steelers defensive unit that seems to be finding its stride in recent weeks: they haven’t allowed an opponent to score more than 21 since Week 2.
Prediction: Steelers Alternative -3.5 Point Spread (-138)
Bengals vs. Steelers Over/Under Total Prediction
All five of the Thursday Night Football matchups so far this season have gone over the total. Something’s gotta give. And we believe what will give is this: two 40+ year old QBs going toe-to-toe in an NFL prime time game.
Cincinnati’s defense is so bad that we are going to buy one point up, but we think this is finally the day that the TNF game goes under the total for the first time this season. All three of Pittsburgh’s last three games have gone under the alternate number we found on sportsbooks for this one.
Prediction: Alternative Game Total Points Under 45.5 (-128)

Cincinnati has allowed five of the six QBs they’ve played against—including their current starting QB, Joe Flacco, who went for 290 yards in Week 1 (when he was still on the Browns)—to throw for over 250 yards, and they’ve given up multiple passing TDs in four of those games. That includes multi-TD games for Carson Wentz, Bo Nix, and Trevor Lawrence. We like Aaron Rodgers to join that mediocre club.
The Bengals have given up the second-most passing yards in the NFL this season, and they lead the league with 24 completions of 20+ allowed so far. That fits perfectly with Steelers WR1 D.K. Metcalf’s game: he relies heavily on the big play (he’s second in the NFL at 18.7 yards a catch). Not to mention that Cincy has been allowing 156.0 receiving yards per game to WRs, 7th-most in the league. So with no other WRs to speak of in the Steel City, it should be a big night for Metcalf on TNF.
Cincy does allow the 7th-most yards to WRs, but it’s actually the Steelers that allow the 6th-most, at 160.4 yards a contest. So there is the possibility that both teams have some success through the air. Since 2022, Ja’Marr Chase has gone for 129, 81, 86, and 96 yards against Pittsburgh. He should have no trouble hitting this low number.
Best Bet:
- Aaron Rodgers Over 1.5 Passing TDs (-130)
- D.K. Metcalf Over 64.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
- Ja’Marr Chase Over 73.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
