Super Bowl LX - Fun Super Bowl Novelty Props - February 8, 2026

Coin Toss Result - TAILS (-110) (PowerPlay Sportsbook)

This is one of the best fun Super Bowl prop bets because it is a genuine 50/50 proposition every year—or is it? Basic logic and common sense suggests neither heads nor tails has an advantage going into any one flip, but there are trends at the Super Bowl we can look at.

Seven of the last 11 Super Bowl coin tosses have landed tails going back to the last time the Seahawks and Patriots met in the Big Game. It landed tails that day as well. Funny enough, the other two Super Bowls Seattle has participated in have also seen the coin toss land tails. And if that wasn’t crazy enough, six of the nine Super Bowls the Patriots attended during the Tom Brady era also landed tails. As Randy Moss always said, tails never fails, baby.

Length Of National Anthem - UNDER 119.5 SECONDS (-110) (PowerPlay)

While the average length in recent years has been just under two minutes for the pre-Super Bowl rendition of the National Anthem, it really is all about who is performing it. This year, it’s American musician Charlie Puth. Unlike past performers, there is not much evidence of any other instances where Puth performed a public rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, making this a trickier bet.

He does have a video of himself on YouTube playing a piano version that comes in at just a minute and three seconds. There’s no guarantee that Puth will even sing, as he’s as much a piano player as he is a singer. Sportsbooks generally start the clock at the start of the first word of the anthem, so this could get dicey. But based on existing evidence and Puth’s overall lack of interest in flare and showmanship, if he does sing, we’re expecting a tight performance from him that will go well under.

Color of First Gatorade Thrown on Winning Coach - YELLOW/LIME OR GREEN (+250) (PowerPlay)

This is actually just one of many fun Super Bowl prop bets you can make about the Gatorade bath for the winning head coach. You can also bet on whether the players pouring the Gatorade over the coach’s head will be from the offense, the defense, or both. Here, we’ll just stick to the color.

Since 2001, orange has been used 5 times, while blue, clear, yellow, and purple have all been used four times. No Gatorade was used in four instances as well. During the Bill Belichick dynasty, the Patriots had no Gatorade three times, Blue twice, and clear once. When the Seahawks won a decade ago, they used orange. If you think the Patriots will win, “Blue” at +600 is your best bet. But if you’re like us and you like the Seahawks, we’re going “Yellow/Lime or Green”, as we’re getting three colors for the price of one at +250 odds. The favorite is “Orange” at +225.

First Coach Shown on Broadcast During National Anthem - MIKE VRABEL (-143) (PowerPlay)

We’re surprised these odds are as close as they are. Mike Vrabel is clearly the more experienced, celebrated, and most importantly, the more famous of the two head coaches in this Super Bowl matchup. Many people watching the game might not even know Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald’s name. Getting Vrabel at -143 odds for this prop is a real steal, so don’t think twice.

To Make A Special Guest Appearance During Halftime Show - J Balvin (-167) (PowerPlay)

Sportsbooks are clearly expecting a lot of guests on stage with halftime musician Bad Bunny, as there are four different artists with minus (-) odds to join the performance. The favorite is Cardi B, but at -250 odds, there’s not much value there. Ricky Martin (-125) and Jennifer Lopez (-125) are also offering minus odds, but our favorite bet here is J Balvin, who checks in with bettable -167 odds.

Balvin and Bad Bunny were very close about 5-6 years ago when they released a collaborative album called Oasis. However, they had a falling out over the last few years, only to reunite in Mexico City this past December. The timing of that reunion is more than suspicious considering how close it was to the Super Bowl. We expect the pair to put an exclamation point on their reconciliation in San Francisco.
