Arsenal is a heavy -165 moneyline favorite on Tuesday at soccer betting sites. Atletico, meanwhile, has steep +450 odds to win this match. A draw is priced at +300.
These two clubs have only met twice before and it came in the 2017-18 Europa League semifinals. Atleti progressed, beating the Premier League outfit 2-1 on aggregate.
Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid Analysis
The Premier League title looks to be a serious reality this term, but that doesn’t mean the Gunners won’t be eyeing European glory as well. Mikel Arteta’s men made a deep run in the competition last season, losing in the semifinals to eventual winners PSG. That came after eliminating Real Madrid in the last eight. As for the 2025-26 UCL campaign, Arsenal has looked dominant, grabbing a pair of 2-0 victories against Athletic Club and Olympiacos.
The North Londoners have won five straight games across all competitions, and returned from the international break with a 1-0 win over Fulham over the weekend. Leandro Trossard played hero at Craven Cottage, scoring in the 58th minute. With Liverpool tasting defeat again, Arsenal’s victory gave them a three-point cushion at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Manchester City. Needless to say, the Gunners are in wonderful shape heading into this mid-week clash.
Diego Simeone’s Atleti are having a respectable campaign early on, sitting in fourth place in LaLiga with a 4-4-1 record. That includes a massive 5-2 victory over Real Madrid in late September, where they ran riot on their city rivals. As for Europe, Atletico lost a 3-2 nailbiter on matchday one to Liverpool before smashing Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 at the end of September. The club also came out victorious in their first game since the international break, running out 1-0 winners against Osasuna on Saturday thanks to Thiago Almada.
Despite their respectable form, Atletico have yet to emerge victorious on the road this term, which isn’t exactly a great sign ahead of a visit to a hostile Emirates Stadium. But, their dominant win over Frankfurt is a reason for optimism. They will be hoping Julian Alvarez can create havoc on Tuesday, having already scored once and tallied two assists in the UCL. He’s also hammered home seven league goals.
Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid Injury News
The Gunners remain without Noni Madueke, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus due to injuries. Atletico were dealt a scare when Nico Gonzalez was forced to come off over the weekend, but he should be good to go here. Johnny Cardoso is their only absentee.
Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid Picks
The Gunners are a strong side overall, and the North London atmosphere is always a huge help. Atletico on the other hand still hasn’t performed at a top level on the road. I’ll take Arsenal to live up to expectations, and secure another three Champions League points.
