Chelsea vs FC Barcelona Odds

Chelsea heads into this affair with +130 odds at soccer betting sportsbooks. Barcelona returns at +170, while a draw is priced at +290. The Over/Under is set at 3.5 goals.

The last time these two sides met was in the 2017-18 Round of 16, with Barca running out 4-1 winners on aggregate. Their most famous clash prior to that was in the 2012 semifinals, where Chelsea beat the Spanish outfit en route to taking down Bayern Munich in the showpiece.

Chelsea vs FC Barcelona Analysis

The Blues returned from the international break with a bang on the weekend, convincingly taking down Burnley behind goals from Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez. With Manchester City losing, that moved Enzo Maresca’s men into second place in the standings, but still six points behind league leaders Arsenal. It was the Blues’ second straight victory in league action, and also their second consecutive clean sheet.

As for European play, Chelsea owns a 2-1-1 record, scoring nine times and conceding six, putting them 12th in the table. Maresca’s squad has beaten Ajax and Benfica, but Bayern Munich handed them a defeat on matchday one. The Blues also disappointed on matchday four, settling for a lone point against Azerbaijan side Qarabag. Chelsea definitely needs a victory on Tuesday, but it won’t be easy against a club as strong as Barca.

The reigning LaLiga champions are playing catch-up this term in Spain, with Real Madrid still one point above them at the top. But the gap is closing, and the title is very much in reach after Los Blancos settled for back-to-back domestic draws. Barca’s attacking prowess was on full display on Saturday, with a brace from Ferran Torres, while Robert Lewandowski and Fermin Lopez also scored.

Barcelona has an identical 2-1-1 record in the Champions League as Chelsea, netting 12 times and conceding seven. They were far from their best on matchday four, settling for a point in a surprising 3-3 draw with Club Brugge earlier in the month. Prior to that, the Catalans hammered Olympiakos 6-0. Their lone defeat in the 2025-26 competition so far was against title-holders PSG on October 1.

Chelsea vs FC Barcelona Injury News

Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, Dario Essugo, and Levi Colwill are unavailable for Chelsea. Palmer was nearing a return, but he’s now suffered a freak toe injury. Barcelona will be without Gavi, Pedri, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Marcus Rashford is questionable due to illness.

Chelsea vs FC Barcelona Picks

There’s never any shortage of goals when Barca plays, whether it be in Spain or in Europe. Chelsea also has talent in their frontline, who will be dangerous against the Catalans’ high line. I see clear value in the Over.
