Real Madrid vs Manchester City Odds
| Moneyline | Real Madrid +160 | Man City +145 |
| Total Goals | Ov 3.5 (-155) | Un 3.5 (+110) |
Real Madrid sits at +160 on the moneyline at soccer betting sportsbooks. City returns at +145 odds. A draw is priced at +280.
There’s no shortage of history between these two sides. They’ve met 14 times in Europe’s most prized competition, with City winning five of those, while Madrid has four victories. The other five games ended level. Most recently, Los Blancos knocked out the Cityzens in the play-off last season before marching onto the Round of 16.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City Analysis
Madrid is having a respectable campaign this term. They’re sitting in second spot in the LaLiga table with an 11-3-2 record, just four points behind league leaders Barcelona. Los Blancos failed to collect a single trophy in 2024-25, which is unheard of for a club of this stature. There’s no shortage of motivation to bounce back and lift some hardware, but performances like Sunday cannot happen. Xabi Alonso’s side lost by two goals to Vigo, with Williot Swedberg scoring a brace for the visitors. Madrid had a plethora of opportunities, but their star-studded attack failed to produce the goods.
As for the Champions League, Los Blancos have played relatively well. They’re within the top-five of the standings with a 4-0-1 record, and Real sits only three points out of first place, which is occupied by Arsenal. Their only defeat so far in the competition came to Liverpool at Anfield. Outside of that, Madrid has beaten Olympiakos, Juventus, Kairat Almaty, and Marseille. But, they face their toughest task yet in the UCL this season, with in-form Man City coming to the Spanish capital.
The Cityzens may not look like the same side of the past, but they’re still a strong team with boatloads of talent. The Premier League title remains a serious possibility after Arsenal’s slip-up over the weekend, but the Sky Blues will also be focused on making a deep run in the Champions League, too. The 2023 winners bowed out against Madrid last term before the last 16, and there’s no question they will have a chip on their shoulders heading into this encounter – even though it’s just a group clash.
Pep Guardiola’s men have won eight of their last nine games across all competitions, but that lone defeat happen to come in the Champions League, with Bayer Leverkusen upsetting them 2-0 on November 25 in Manchester. Since then, the Cityzens have won three straight games in England, and Saturday’s thrashing of Sunderland gives them more momentum heading into the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City Injury News
The big absence for Madrid on Wednesday is Kylian Mbappe. He’s doubtful to feature due to a muscular problem, joining a list of eight players who are unavailable. David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Ferland Mendy are among the other absentees. As for City, they’re missing Mateo Kovacic and Rodri. John Stones is in doubt as well after sitting out the Sunderland clash.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City Picks
Pressure is mounting on Alonso’s shoulders, who could be sacked if Madrid lose here. Their health situation is grim, and City is in much better form. I’ll take the visitors to roll into the Bernabeu and grab a famous victory.
