Chelsea vs Manchester United Odds
The Blues are a clear -124 moneyline favorite at soccer betting sites, while Man United sit at +300 odds. A draw is priced at +290, and the O/U is set at three goals.
Despite coming into this fixture as a heavy underdog, the Red Devils have enjoyed success against Chelsea in recent memory, pulling off the league double last term.
Chelsea vs Manchester United Analysis
Chelsea have flashed moments of sheer brilliance in 2026-27 under Xabi Alonso, boasting one of the Premier League's most electrifying attacks. While their defensive struggles have been evident, the club appeared to be finding some consistency overall before a shock 2-0 defeat to bottom-feeders, Tottenham.
Spurs, who had won only once this term before beating the Blues, were gifted their first goal by a costly mistake from keeper Mike Penders, who was making his first Premier League start in place of the injured Emi Martinez. Mathys Tel then beat Penders with a terrific long-range effort to seal the three points for Tottenham. It was a horrible result for Chelsea, and the second time this season they’ve been held scoreless.
United’s season continues to get worse. They’re sitting in 16th place with a 1-4-3 record, and it’s now eight games across all competitions without a victory. Their last win was on September 10 in the Champions League, and it was against Sabah, who aren’t exactly an elite opponent.
After a disastrous 4-1 defeat to Como last Wednesday, the Red Devils hoped to bounce back on Sunday against Bournemouth, but it ended in another brutal loss. Carrick’s men were two goals down by halftime, and while United controlled 63% of the ball, they were absolutely toothless in the final third. A victory at Stamford Bridge would give this side some much-needed confidence, but this will not be an easy fixture.
Chelsea vs Manchester United Injury News
The Blues were informed on Tuesday that Joao Pedro will be out for several weeks due to a thigh injury, which is a massive blow. Reece James continues to rehab from surgery, while Martinez, Emmanuel Emegha, Jamie Gittens, and Pep Chavarria are unavailable as well.
As for United, they’re missing Benjamin Sesko, Luke Shaw, Patrick Dorgu, Kobbie Mainoo, and Manuel Ugarte. Marcus Rashford is also doubtful due to a hip injury.
Chelsea vs Manchester United Picks
Pedro’s absence concerns me given his production up top, and Chelsea have been inconsistent. United have also given them trouble over the last year. I’m expecting a cagey affair in London that will ultimately end level.
