Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans Best Odds

Odds courtesy of Bet365, correct at time of writing and subject to change.

Cincinnati has won its last two games, outscoring Miami and Baltimore by a combined 66-37, including a 35-13 rout of the Ravens last week. Tennessee arrives off a 27-24 loss to Cleveland that dropped the Titans to 1-6, with their only win a 26-20 decision over Indianapolis in Week 6. The Bengals’  offence is averaging 27.2 ppg this season against a Tennessee team that has topped 20 points only twice all season.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans Best Bet

Cincinnati Bengals -10.5: -105

My call is the Bengals to cover -10.5. Cincinnati has scored 31 and 35 points, respectively, in its last two games, and Tennessee's defence has allowed at least 24 points in four of its seven games this season. The Titans have reached 20 points in only two of seven games, and I don't see that offence doing enough to keep this within single digits. Joe Burrow should move the ball consistently enough to put this one away in the second half..

Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans Analysis

The Cincinnati side

Joe Burrow has played well in the Bengals’ two-game win streak, and he draws a Titans defence allowing 22.3 ppg, 15th in the league, respectable on paper but tested far less often by an offence scoring the way Cincinnati has lately. Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins give Burrow two proven outside options, and that receiving depth is the main reason Cincinnati's offensive floor against the Titans’ defence looks high enough to make the double-digit spread the better pick. The Titans’ defence has not been bad but their offence has struggled to score points, which Burrow and company will do often in this game.

The Tennessee side

Cam Ward remains the Titans' starter under head coach Robert Saleh despite the 1-6 start, and his supporting cast has not made life easy: Tennessee is averaging 15.4 ppg, 31st in the league, and has been held to 20 points or fewer in five of seven games. Carnell Tate has been solid as a rookie, but the Titans still have a pretty weak WR corps. Tennessee's defence has not been the problem, allowing 22.3 ppg, but it cannot make up for an offence that has struggled to put up points all season.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans Prediction

The de-vigged Bet365 moneyline makes Cincinnati an 82% favourite to Tennessee's 18%, and my own number lands close to that at 80%-20%, so the market looks efficient here rather than overpriced. The gap in scoring output, 27.2 ppg for Cincinnati against 15.4 ppg for Tennessee, is wide enough on its own to explain the double-digit number, which is why I am backing the spread for Cincy.

My Exact Score Prediction: Cincinnati Bengals 30-16 Tennessee Titans

I'm backing a 30-16 final. Cincinnati's offence has cleared 30 points in two of its last three games, and Tennessee's own offence has reached 20 points only twice all season, so a sub-20 output fits what Ward's unit has actually produced. The combined total of 46 sits just under the 46.5 line. My call is Cincinnati -10.5 and the Under, with the Bengals in control for most of the game.
