Stamford Bridge will be the scene on Monday as Chelsea FC play host to Nottingham Forest for a crucial Premier League matchday 35 affair. The kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET. The Blues are in horrid form, losing five straight Premier League games. However, they did beat Leeds United in the FA Cup semifinals last weekend. As for Forest, they secured a crucial Europa League semifinal first-leg victory over Aston Villa on Thursday – their fourth straight victory across all competitions.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Odds

Chelsea is a huge -143 moneyline favorite at soccer betting sportsbooks. Forest returns at +380 odds. A draw is priced at +309, while the O/U is set at three goals.

The Blues are unbeaten in their last four meetings with the Tricky Trees, winning three of them. The reverse fixture last October ended 3-0 in Chelsea's favor at the City Ground.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Analysis

It’s been an incredibly disappointing season for Chelsea, who are sitting in ninth place and in danger of missing out on European football altogether. Their struggles in recent weeks were put on the shoulders of manager Liam Rosenior, who was recently sacked. He barely lasted three months in charge. But the Blues are only three points out of the top six, and a victory on Monday would do wonders.

Enzo Fernandez scored Chelsea’s lone goal in the FA Cup semis last Sunday, and they will now play Manchester City in the showpiece. Their presence in the final is about the only clear positive from this campaign. Players have been complaining about the club, and it’s still unknown who will be the next full-time boss. However, the Blues have won back-to-back matches against Forest, scoring four times and keeping a pair of clean sheets.

Forest was such an impressive side last term, earning a spot in Europa. They’ve definitely dropped off this season, though, sitting only five points above safety, despite having essentially the same squad. That being said, the Tricky Trees are starting to find their form at the best possible time. It’s not eight games unbeaten for Forest, who even knocked out Portuguese giants FC Porto in the Europa quarterfinals.

Vitor Pereira’s men then gave themselves an advantage on Thursday with the first leg win over Villa, courtesy of a penalty from Chris Wood. Forest were also ruthless last weekend, smashing a difficult Sunderland side 5-0. Forest is hitting their best form, and they will be hoping to keep it rolling in London.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Injury News

Chelsea are close to welcoming back Reece James and Levi Colwill, but both are likely limited to bench roles as they regain fitness. Filip Jorgensen, Jamie Gittens, and Estevao Willian remain sidelined, while Mykhaylo Mudryk is unavailable due to suspension.

Forest could be without Ola Aina after his recent knock, joining a growing list of absentees that includes Ibrahim Sangare, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Willy Boly. Several others remain doubtful, leaving the visitors stretched heading into this one.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Picks

Forest has bagged six goals across their last two games, and Chelsea is certainly vulnerable at times at the back. I do firmly believe the visitors will keep up their good form here, but the Blues aren’t always easy to beat, and it’s only a matter of time until they break out of their horrible slump. We’ll see a hard-fought draw at Stamford Bridge.
