The Texas Longhorns will be looking to bounce back from a difficult Week 12 loss when they welcome the Arkansas Razorbacks to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Texas was just beaten 35-10 by the Georgia Bulldogs and while their CFP hopes are quickly fading, taking down a rival like the Hogs is crucial. Arkansas also lost last weekend, falling 23-22 to the LSU Tigers. Read below for the Arkansas vs Texas picks.

Arkansas vs Texas Odds

Texas is a heavy -325 moneyline favorite at online betting sportsbooks. They’re also laying nine points on the spread. Arkansas returns at +260 odds, while total for this game is set high. It sits at 57.5 points.

This is a true rivalry, and this will be the 81st all-time matchup. But, it’s the first game in Austin since 2008. Texas won last season’s meeting in Fayetteville by a score of 20-10.

Arkansas vs Texas Analysis

It’s been a very disappointing campaign for Arkansas, who are 2-8 overall and 0-6 in conference play. However, a lot of those SEC games have been extremely close contests – it’s simply not gone their way in the end. In fact, they’ve only lost by 10 total points across all three SEC games on the road. That’s certainly a promising sign that the Razorbacks could cover on Saturday, especially considering the Longhorns’ inconsistencies in 2025.

Despite their poor record, Arkansas does have a solid offense. They’re 13th in the country in total yards with 470 per game, and 17th on third down percentage at 48.7%. Quarterback Taylen Green is dangerous at times, completing 62% of his throws for 2,537 yards and 19 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. He’s also a weapon on the ground. The Hogs have the ability to give the Texas defense some trouble, but they’ll also need to be a mile better defensively to have any chance here. Arkansas is allowing over 30 points per contest.

The Longhorns went into the ‘25 campaign as a legitimate national championship contender, but they’ve failed to live up to expectations with Arch Manning under center. While Texas could still possibly make the College Fooball Playoff, it’s going to take a miracle after the Georgia loss. Steve Sarkisian’s team is 7-3 and ranked No. 17 in the country. They’re just 4-2 in SEC play, but the Longhorns are a perfect 4-0 at home. They’ll be looking to make that five wins in five on Saturday.

Manning has been better in recent weeks, but he struggled against Georgia, throwing for just one touchdown and helping Texas score a mere 10 points. Overall, the signal-caller has completed 62.7% of his throws for 2,374 yards and 19 TDs against seven picks. He’ll be up against a solid pass rush on Saturday, but Arkansas does allow their fair share of points. This is a chance for Manning to put up some big numbers, and grab a win on home soil. After all, Texas is unbeaten in their last seven games in Austin dating back to last season.

Arkansas vs Texas Picks

I do think Texas will thrive in the home atmosphere, but I do like Arkansas’s ability to fight until the very end, and it’s clear they’ve kept recent games this season close. I’ll take the Razorbacks to cover.
