Real Madrid vs Juventus Odds

Real Madrid is a heavy -153 favorite for this Round of 16 affair, while Juve returns as a +400 underdog at soccer betting sites.

These two sides have, of course, locked horns many times before in Europe. In their 21 meetings, Madrid has 10 wins, while The Old Lady has nine. The other two matches ended level. This should be a tantalizing affair in Miami.

Real Madrid vs Juventus Analysis

Los Blancos failed to win any major trophies this term, suffering an early exit in the Champions League and also losing the La Liga title to Barcelona. Xabi Alonso stepped in as the new boss right before the Club World Cup following Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil departure, but it wasn’t the smoothest transition right off the bat. Los Blancos settled for a lone point in a 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal on matchday one, but they followed that up with a pair of convincing victories over RB Salzburg and Pachuca. They’ve been without Kylian Mbappe as well, who is sidelined due to a stomach illness.

Alonso’s group has scored seven goals in three games so far, netting three times against Salzburg and Pachuca. Uruguayan international Federico Valverde has led the way so far in the final third, hitting the back of the net twice. Madrid has stayed solid defensively, only conceding twice. This squad is expected to have more players arrive after the Club World Cup, but Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen are already in the team following their summer moves from Liverpool and Bournemouth, respectively.

Juve started off the Club World Cup on the right foot, securing huge victories over Al Ain (5-0) and also beating Wydad FC 4-1. But, matchday three saw them come up against Man City, who proved to be too much, smashing The Old Lady 5-2. Nevertheless, Juventus will be hungry to respond, but it won’t get any easier against the record European champs in Real Madrid. Juve is coming off a Serie A campaign where they once again finished in fourth place, securing a spot in the Champions League for 2025-26.

This will be the first time since the 2017-18 UCL quarterfinals, where Juventus will face Real Madrid, which saw the Spaniard progress 4-3 on aggregate. Randal Kolo Muani and Francisco Conceicao have led the charge up top for Juve in this event, both bagging a pair of goals each. The Italian giants will clash with either Dortmund or Monterrey in the quarterfinals if they can somehow find a way to stun Madrid on Tuesday.

Real Madrid vs Juventus Picks

Mbappe is back in training and expected to be available for selection on Tuesday, which provides Madrid with a dramatic boost. Regardless of whether he plays or not, however, I do believe Los Blancos will come out victorious here. They’re simply the better team and do tend to step it up when it matters most.
