Jiri Lehecka+819
Jannik Sinner-2500

As expected, Sinner is a massive -2500 favorite at tennis betting sportsbooks. Lehecka, meanwhile, sits as a +819 underdog.

There’s a reason the odds are so lopsided. Sinner has never lost to Lehecka in three meetings, and the Italian has even dropped a single set to the Czech star.

Jiri Lehecka vs Jannik Sinner Analysis

Lehecka has been in fine form in this tournament after crashing out in the Round of 64 at Indian Wells. He’s up to No. 14 in the world in the live rankings, and Lehecka even beat American standout Taylor Fritz in three sets in the Round of 16, knocking off the No. 7 player on the Tour. That victory propelled Lehecka to a couple of straight-set wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals.

The 24-year-old has showcased impressive ball-striking and serving. He hasn’t lost a single set on serve en route to the first ATP Masters 1000 final of his young career. Lehecka’s aggressive style of play was on full display in the semis against Fils, but he’ll now be facing a player in Sinner who is arguably the best attacker in the world. Lehecka will need to bring his absolute best if he’s going to pull off the upset.

Sinner may have lost in the semis of the first Major of the year in Melbourne when Novak Djokovic beat him, but you simply cannot take anything away from his current form. Sinner just captured the Indian Wells title when he took down Daniil Medvedev in the final. The Italian is looking to become the eighth player in the history of the sport to win the “Sunshine Double”, and the first since Roger Federer in 2017.

Sinner has won 32 sets in a row in Masters 1000 events, and he’s made quick work of two solid opponents over the last two rounds. Sinner beat Frances Tiafoe in straight sets in the quarters before notching his seventh consecutive victory over Zverev in the semis. With Alcaraz bowing out earlier in the tournament, Sinner, whether he wins or not, will gain ground on the Spaniard in the hunt for the No. 1 seed again.

Jiri Lehecka vs Jannik Sinner Picks

Lehecka is playing at a different level than in past matches against Sinner. That being said, the No. 2 player on the globe is extremely dominant right now, and while I do believe Lehecka can make things difficult on him at times with his aggressiveness, this should still be a clear victory.

However, due to minimal value in a straight set victory for Sinner, I’ll take Lehecka to push this one to Over 19.5 games.
