After a surprising Conference Finals round that gave us a massive upset and a sweep, we arrive at the 2026 NBA Finals with a rematch of the 1999 edition between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.
The Knicks haven’t made the Finals since that 1999 meeting, and the Spurs are making their first trip of this new Mitch Johnson-Victor Wembanyama era much earlier than anticipated. The Knicks come in having won 11 straight games, but the Spurs are coming off a seven-game odyssey that saw them best the defending champion Thunder.
The Finals also mean a ton of betting opportunities when it comes to futures, and we’ve got you covered with analysis, predictions, and NBA betting odds for the most popular series futures for this Knicks-Spurs Finals series!
Highlights
- The Knicks have won 11 straight games coming into the NBA Finals

Knicks vs. Spurs “Series Result” Futures Betting Markets
| Team | To Win Series | Series Spread | Series Total Games |
| New York Knicks | +165 | +1.5 (-135) | Over 5.5 (-165) |
| San Antonio Spurs | -200 | -1.5 (+115) | Under 5.5 (+140) |
The San Antonio Spurs upset the defending-champion OKC Thunder in a back-and-forth seven-game series. They also beat an experienced Timberwolves team in the series before that. They have been properly battle-tested. And we think that could be a big advantage for them in this one.
The Knicks have been utterly dominant, but one has to wonder about the competition. The 76ers had their superstar in and out of the lineup, and the Cavaliers looked exhausted and apathetic in the Eastern Conference Final. Of course, that can always be attributed to how good the Knicks have been, and surely that is part of it.
But the West has been much stronger than the East for years. The West has won three of the last four Finals, and we think the Conference’s strength is still breeding more strength there. Wembanyama is an impossible matchup, and we think even the tough Knicks defense will struggle against him.
The quality of the Spurs back-court is also going to be trouble for the Knicks. They have three big, athletic guards that can not only score, but give Jalen Brunson trouble. Betting sites are siding with the Spurs more than we would like here with their series moneyline at -200 odds, but we still think that’s the correct play here.
Best Bet: San Antonio Spurs To Win Series (-200)
Knicks vs. Spurs “Series Correct Score” Futures Betting Market
Only the overpowered Kevin Durant Warriors in 2018 have managed to sweep an NBA Finals since 2007, so we can discount that one. The odds for the Spurs to win in five, six, or seven games are all pretty similar, and we’re pretty sure it’s going to be one of those three.
The Knicks and the New York atmosphere in the Finals will be enough to win them a couple of games, and San Antonio to win the series 4-2 is offering better odds than our other two options. Let’s go with the value.
Best Bet: San Antonio Spurs to Win Series 4-2 (+450)
