Knicks vs. Spurs NBA Finals Game 5: Betting Analysis, Picks, & Odds

Game 4 of these 2026 NBA Finals was something we are never going to see again. In the first half, the Spurs set a record for made three-pointers as they went up 29 points on the host Knicks. In the second half, the Spurs went 3-for-17 from deep as they scored just 30 points and the Knicks came all the way back to win it on the final play of the game.
Game 5 surely won’t live up to that.. Or will it? The Knicks won Game 1 by 10, but the last three games of this series have been decided by one, four, and one points. This is tighter than the 3-1 series lead the Knicks have would suggest.
Can the Spurs extend the series not only for themselves but for the fans that would love to see this exhilarating series go the distance. Read on for our analysis going into Game 5 on Saturday in San Antonio, as well as our betting predictions, picks, and NBA betting odds.

Knicks vs. Spurs Game 5 - Point Spread/Moneyline Prediction
The Spurs are down 3-1, but by golly, they really should not be! They have led all four games in these 2026 NBA Finals by 12 or more, only for the Knicks to roar back and win three of them. At a certain point, you’d have to think that these professional athletes on the Spurs will learn their lesson.
They hit an NBA Finals record 14 triples in the first half of Game 4, and the young group thought that would continue forever. Any NBA fan knows that the three-point shot is fun, but it is a fickle mistress. They went 3-for-17 from deep in the second half while the Knicks made their comeback.
All the Spurs need to do is get out of their own way and stop shooting themselves in the foot. Victor Wembanyama went just 9-for-25 from the field in Game 4 and the Spurs were in a position to win for 47 of those 48 minutes.
They are the better, more well-rounded team. The Knicks just have some dogs that have insane shot-making abilities. Surely we must tip our cap to OG Anunoby. But San Antonio is back home for Game 5, and we think that second half will be a shock to the system that sees the Spurs get back in the series.
Of the last three teams to choke away a 15+ point lead in a Finals game, two came back and won the very next matchup, though both of those teams (2008 Lakers, 2011 Heat) lost the series in six games. We think that is a very likely scenario here as well:
Best Bet: San Antonio Spurs Alternative -2.5 Point Spread (-165)
Spurs vs. Knicks Game 3 - Over/Under Total Prediction
We’re not going to hedge this bet either. When the Spurs win, they go over this number. To be exact, they have gone over the total in seven of their last nine wins during this playoff run. That Game 4 would have blown by this total as well if the Spurs didn’t completely fall away and score just 30 points in the second half.
That will not happen again at home in front of what we expect to be a raucous San Antonio crowd after not only that choke job, but the many videos of Knicks fans assaulting Spurs fans on the streets of New York. If the Spurs can’t win convincingly here in Game 5 (and if they do so, the total will go over), they don’t have the mentality we all thought they did when they dethroned the 2025-champion Thunder last round.
Best Bets: Alternative Game Total Points Over 214.5 (-145)
