The 2026-2027 NBA regular season is now in full swing. Every team has played a game, and we’re starting to get an idea of how new groups of teammates are going to work together this year. With that in mind, we thought we’d revisit the long-term betting odds for the 2026-2027 NBA champion futures betting market.

We haven’t taken a peek at the odds since back in July when LeBron James made his decision to go to Philly, and there has been surprisingly little movement since then. However, there have been some teams jumping and dropping over the last couple of months. We break down the full odds board for the 2027 NBA champion future including the latest NBA betting odds for all 30 teams!

Highlights

  • The Spurs and Thunder remain the massive favourites through the first week
  • 5 of the top 7 teams on the odds board play in the Eastern Conference
  • The Sacramento Kings have the longest odds at +100,000

The Favourites

At the top of the odds board, there has been very little movement. It’s going to take a major injury to either Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Victor Wembanyama to move the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs, respectively, off the top of the pile. Who is the most likely to take that crown though?

Well, oddsmakers seem to think it’s going to be a team from the Eastern Conference: the next five teams on the odds board play in the East. It points to a very noticeable shift in power dynamics in the NBA. The West has been the stronger, deeper conference in the NBA for what feels like the entire 21st century. But the East is turning things around now. If they can only top the juggernaut Thunder and Spurs.

The defending-champion New York Knicks remain in the mix, bringing back most of their title-winning core. Both sides of the Jaylen Brown trade, the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, seem to have won in the deal, as they are fourth and fifth on the board. Kawhi Leonard’s Toronto Raptors are an interesting option among the top contenders as well. They have built an extremely talented and deep roster, so if Leonard can be load managed properly, watch out.
