When the tampering period opens up, many top players will go flying off the board quickly. Quarterback Kyler Murray, who will be released by the Arizona Cardinals at the start of the league year, could be one of the top names on the market. He’s surely at the top of the pile of QBs.

But who will take him? Ontario sportsbooks believe there is a very obvious and clear candidate that is already boasting minus (-) odds to land Murray. But could any other team swoop in for the upset? The Favorite: Minnesota Vikings (-200)

There aren’t very many people that are more tapped into what’s going on in and around the NFL than those insiders on Twitter. But oddsmakers might have them beat. Especially with these types of futures markets. If there are odds out, that sportsbook has done its research on that situation. And apparently, the Vikings are the runaway favorites to land Kyler Murray.

Obviously, J.J. McCarthy did not inspire a lot of confidence last year, so bringing in a talented veteran could get the best out of the youngster. And if not, you’ve got a former Heisman Trophy and OROY winner.

Our Best Bet: Minnesota Vikings (-200)

And the thing is, you’re likely getting him for the veteran minimum at just $1.3 million. Since the Cardinals were unable to find a trade partner, they will be forced to eat his massive salary themselves when they cut him. That makes him a much more attractive option for a team like the Vikings. They are in win now mode, they have great offensive weapons, and Murray is extremely skilled. All he needs is the mental part. And Kevin O’Connell plus a change of scenery could be the answer there.

Dark Horse Candidate: Pittsburgh Steelers (+1,800)

If you don’t want to go with the Vikings, we understand. While this isn’t a classic future since it will likely be resolved by the end of the week, rather than months away, the -200 odds for Minnesota don’t offer much excitement. However, one team that’s not being talked out that we believe could be a dark horse are the Steelers, at +1,800.

They aren’t going to be dictated to by Aaron Rodgers again, so if the aging QB takes his sweet time, GM Omar Khan could put a call in on Kyler Murray. The Steelers are in a similar win now situation and could do some real damage if Murray rediscovers his 2021 form.
