Dante Moore
Moore turned down a likely first-round draft slot to return to Oregon after throwing for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns last season. He led the nation in big-time throws per Pro Football Focus, and the Ducks open the year as a legitimate national title contender behind him.
Julian Sayin
Sayin was a Heisman finalist as a true freshman starter, leading the country in completion percentage at 77 percent while throwing for 3,610 yards and 32 touchdowns. He struggled in Ohio State's two biggest games against Indiana and Miami, but returns with added weight and experience behind a Buckeyes team favored to contend nationally.
Trinidad Chambliss
Chambliss fought for a sixth year of eligibility at Ole Miss and delivered once the courts cleared him, throwing for 3,937 yards with 22 touchdowns against three interceptions while adding 527 rushing yards and eight more scores. He was named SEC Newcomer of the Year and helped push the Rebels to a Playoff semifinal.
Josh Hoover
Hoover left TCU as the active FBS leader in career passing yards after throwing for 3,472 yards and 29 touchdowns last season, and he's bringing that resume to Indiana for his final year. He steps into a Hoosiers program that just rode a transfer quarterback to the College Football Playoff title.
Darian Mensah
Mensah's move from Duke to Miami was one of the biggest transfer portal stories of the year. He threw for 3,973 yards and 34 touchdowns against six interceptions while leading the Blue Devils to an ACC title, and top target Cooper Barkate followed him to Coral Gables.
Jeremiah Smith
Smith closes out the top eight as the lone non-quarterback with realistic odds. He has more receiving yards and touchdowns than any player in the country over the past two seasons, racking up 163 catches for 2,558 yards and 27 scores, and he enters 2026 within striking distance of Ohio State's career records across the board.
Heisman Trophy Picks
CJ Carr's efficiency and Notre Dame's favorable schedule make him a strong value play at plus money, especially if the Fighting Irish avoid the close losses that cost them a playoff spot last season. Trinidad Chambliss also stands out given his dual threat production, and a deep Playoff run for the Rebels would keep him in the conversation all the way to New York.
