Worst Regular Season Record Odds
Despite finishing 3-14 last year, by the luck of the draw, the New York Giants have the toughest schedule in the NFL, with their opponents boasting a .574 winning percentage based on 2024 results. They play their tough NFC East division-mates six times total, which could easily be six losses, as the Eagles and Commanders are elite and the Cowboys should bounce back after a down year.
The Giants also have to play arguably the best divisions in both conferences: the NFC North and the AFC West, both of whom fielded three playoff teams apiece last year and could very well do so again in 2025. Their only reprieves seem to be the Patriots and the Raiders, but both of those teams had major makeovers this offseason that make them tough opponents as well. Big Blue could very well go all season without being favored in a game apart from their matchup with the Saints.
New Orleans is offering slightly more value (+600 odds to New York’s +550), but we believe they have enough offensive talent to steal a few games this year, even if their QB situation is a mess. They also have the second-easiest strength of schedule in the league and get to play their awful NFC South division mates six times. We don’t love the Browns at +550 either, as Joe Flacco usually rattles off a few of wins before his shtick runs its course.
If you don’t wanna go with Big Blue, you can go with Gang Green. The Jets, offering nearly twice the value of their blue neighbors at +900, could also be in some hot water. The Titans are also offering +800 odds on betting sites, and while we like Cam Ward, that roster is not a pretty sight, so they could have the top pick again in 2026.
But if you want a real long shot, the Miami Dolphins (+2,500) seem like a prime candidate. There’s always the chance that Tua Tagovailoa gets another concussion, and if he does, this team is cooked. But even if he doesn’t, they could struggle. They play the NFC South, which is a terrible division, but they also play the rugged AFC North, the Chargers, the Commanders, and let’s not forget those two against the Bills and the much-improved Patriots.
Best Bet: New York Giants (+550) - Long Shot: Miami Dolphins (+2,500)/Betway
