Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5) - 1PM
The Browns have started to make this more of an even rivalry over the last few years—but not when the games take place in Pittsburgh. They have not won in the Steel City during the regular season since 2003, and about two thirds of those Steelers wins in the interim have been blowouts. Not to mention Mike Tomlin has a pristine 26-6 record against rookie QBs like Dillon Gabriel.
Teaser Pick: Steelers (+0.5)
Los Angeles Chargers (-4.5) @ Miami Dolphins - 1PM
The Chargers come into this one having lost in back-to-back games. That’s a very rare occurrence for head coach Jim Harbaugh. But even more rare is a three-game drought for one of his teams. Harbaugh’s NFL teams have only lost 2+ games in a row seven times. In six of those instances, they won the next game. And with the Chiefs and Broncos also surging, this is something of a must-win for L.A.
Teaser Pick: Chargers (+1.5)
New England Patriots (-3.5) @ New Orleans Saints - 1PM
The Saints won big last week, but there are likely some in the organization that weren’t too pleased with that result. It’s hard to imagine that a team so clearly tanking would push for back-to-back wins. And we doubt they would be able to get it done anyway. This Patriots team is coming off a massive win over the Bills, and they’re a much better all-around squad than the wishy-washy Giants the Saints beat last week.
Teaser Pick: Patriots (+2.5)
Arizona Cardinals @ Indianapolis Colts (-7.0) - 1PM
The Colts can no longer be considered a fluke. They’re tied for the best record in football at 4-1, and they have been especially dominant at home at Lucas Oil Stadium. They are an NFL-best 3-0 ATS at home this season, including wins by 25 and 31. The Cardinals are going to need to pick up the pieces after the debacle they suffered last week, and the Colts are the last team you want in a “get right” game right now.
Teaser Pick: Colts (-1.0)
Tennessee Titans @ Las Vegas Raiders (-4.5) - 4:05PM
The Titans got a big win last week, their first of the season. The Raiders, meanwhile, were walloped 40-6 by the Colts. We have a feeling their fortunes are going to criss-cross here in Week 6. The Titans are unlikely to win consecutive games this season, and they needed three miracles to get the job done last week anyway. The Titans have really struggled to stop the run this season as well, so this could be another signature Ashton Jeanty game at home in Vegas.
Teaser Pick: Raiders (+1.5)
Detroit Lions (+2.5) @ Kansas City Chiefs - 8:20PM
Why the 2-3 Chiefs are favored over the 4-1 Lions is a question best left to the betting sites themselves. Because we don’t understand it. Since their rough Week 1 loss, the Lions have arguably been the best team in the NFL. The Chiefs, meanwhile, had their surge stunted by a shock upset loss to the Jaguars on Monday Night. The Chiefs may win at home, but no way they do it by more than a score against an offense as potent as this Detroit unit is.
Teaser Pick: Lions (+8.5)
