The Chicago Bears return home to the Windy City after a two-game road trip to host the New England Patriots on a short week. Both teams are 4-2, but New England is especially hot, as they storm into Soldier Field on a three-game winning streak. But Chicago also welcomed back starting QB Caleb Williams in their Week 6 win, and the former No. 1 overall pick didn’t skip a beat in his return.

This will be a tough one to call, as evidenced by the fact that most betting sites have the Bears as just -2.5-point home favourites. With that in mind, we figured we’d look at the player props for this one instead. And we found some nice value, although it’s all on the Bears side. Read on for our top three player prop picks for this Thursday Night Football clash, as well as the latest NFL betting odds!

Highlights

  • In the 2 games without Kyle Monangai, D’Andre Swift has 10 targets and 8 receptions
  • Caleb Williams is coming off a hamstring scare
  • Rome Odunze has had 40+ yards in all but one game this season

NFL Week 7 Thursday Night Football: Patriots vs. Bears Player Prop Best Bets and Betting Odds

All betting odds provided by Betway.

D’Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears - Over 17.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Both of these defences are pretty good, so it wasn’t easy to find a clear mismatch anywhere on either side. But we did find one we really like: New England has struggled to stop running backs in the passing game. They are allowing 39.3 receiving yards per game to backs, sixth-most in football. Since Week 2, four of the five running backs to play the Patriots hit their receiving yards prop. The only one who didn’t, James Cook, missed his number by a yard.

And D’Andre Swift is solid in the air. He’s ninth among running backs this year with 140 through the air so far this season. He’s been especially good through the air with Kyle Monangai out the last two games. In each of those contests–where Swift also had two different QBs–he was targeted five times and caught four passes for 30 and 26 yards. He has 25+ receiving yards in three of his last five games.

Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears - Under 19.5 Rush Yards (-110)

All our picks are on the Bears, but they’re not all positive. Yes, for the first time in perhaps ever, we’re taking an under here. They simply can’t be ignored anymore. And this feels like a real peachy line for Caleb Williams’ rush yards considering the circumstances.

On a normal day, 19.5 rush yards would be a number we’d happily go over on. But with Williams just coming back from a scary hamstring injury, we think he’s going to pump the brakes on the running a bit. He ran four times last week, but only for three yards. New England is also giving up the fifth-fewest rush yards to QBs, under 9.0 per game. They even held Josh Allen to four yards on five carries a few weeks ago.

Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears - To Record 40+ Receiving Yards (-150)

This might come as a surprise, but hear us out. Rome Odunze has been a massive disappointment this season. Perhaps not more than Colston Loveland, but very underwhelming. However, Odunze has actually been kind of insanely consistent through six games. He has had between 39 and 52 receiving yards in five of six games, with the other one being a 94-yard performance. We bought the line down here a bit just to stay within what is a pretty modest trend but a trend nonetheless–and we think it will continue on TNF.
