We had a very peculiar week with our player props in Week 6. Kirk Cousins went way over his number against that poopy Bills defence while Derrick Henry fumbled the game away for the Ravens instead of scoring his standard one TD per game. 1-1.

But the weirdest one was Cam Skattebo, who was active and even played a few snaps but didn’t receive a single touch all game in one of the strangest coaching decisions we’ve seen in recent memory. Hard to think everything was above board there, especially with the Giants trotting out six other ball-carriers who gained between 2 and 26 yards. Oh, and New York lost to the Saints.

Okay, rant over. We’ll take the hit. But if that happens again, we riot. This week, we’re going to play it as safe as possible and avoid any and all players with any kinds of question marks. That should solve all our problems. Playing it safe never hurt anyone, right? Read on for our Week 7 picks and the latest NFL betting odds!

Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans - Over 61.5 Rush Yards (-110) vs. New York Giants

The Houston Texans have been rolling the last couple of weeks, winning back-to-back huge games to bring themselves back into the mix after an 0-4 start. One of the major players for the Texans on offence the last couple weeks has been Woody Marks.

When David Montgomery went down in Week 6, Marks stepped in to take the lion’s share of the running back work, and he took 15 carries for 62 yards. He started last week and shined again, taking another 15 for 56 yards. We expect him to really break out here in Week 7 at home against a Giants defence allowing 107.5 yards per game to RBs this season, fourth-most in football.

In Week 5, Marks was behind Montgomery for part of the game. In Week 6, youngster Jawhar Jordan came in and took six carries. Both will be out for Week 7, and the only other back we see on the roster is Dare Ogunbowale, who has zero touches this year. It’s gonna be all Woody, baby.

Ja’Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals - 90+ Receiving Yards (-110) @ Baltimore Ravens

There are certain players who just love playing certain teams. Big Ben and the Browns, Tom Brady and the Bills. That team for Ja’Marr Chase is the Baltimore Ravens. He has always played well against them: he went for over 200 against them the first time he lined up against Baltimore as a rookie in 2021. Since then, he has gone for a TD or 100 yards in seven of nine contests against the Ravens.

He owns these guys. And before you start talking up Nate Wiggins, he was there last year when Chase went for 110 and 132 on 17 combined catches. The year before that, he went for 264 and 193 against Baltimore. This just can’t be coincidence.

And even if it was, the Ravens have been really poor defending the pass and continue to deal with injuries on that side of the ball; they allow 175.7 receiving yards a game to WRs, sixth-most in the league. They’ve given up 100-yard games to wideouts in three of the last four and even gave up by far a season-high 69 yards to Jerry Jeudy in last week’s loss. Joe Burrow will be looking for Chase early and often in this one.

Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers - Over 281.5 Passing Yards (-110) @ Detroit Lions

The Lions are a riot to watch, but man, would it suck to watch them play defence as a Detroit fan. They’re like those shudder doors they used to have in those old saloons in the Wild Wild West. A light breeze would open them up. And Jordan Love comes to the Motor City on a roll with his Packers.

He threw for 276 yards last week against another terrible defence in Dallas, and the week before that he had 367 yards through the air. He’s put up 300+ in three games this year, so a matchup with a Lions defence giving up 320 passing yards a game to QBs (over 20 yards more than the next worst) seems too good to pass up.
