Woody Marks got the job done for us last week, but two stars really let us down. Ja’Marr Chase failed to hit 100 yards against the Ravens for the first time in five tries and Jordan Love became just the second player to fall below 290 yards against Detroit’s awful defence this season.

All we can do is keep it movin’, baby. Week 8 is on the horizon, and with that a whole new crop of player props and opportunities. As always, we believe we’ve found three solid player props across this week’s NFL slate. Read on for our picks as well as the top betting odds from the best Ontario sportsbooks.

Zay Flowers, WR, Baltimore Ravens - Over 81.5 Receiving Yards (-110) @ Buffalo Bills

Many people, yours truly included, wrote off the big Zay Flowers contract this offseason as an overpay. But he has been playing up to his salary and then some this season. He’s missed a game, but he’s still fifth in receiving with 608 yards while averaging over 100 a game.

And he was especially good in those three early-season games he got to play with starting QB Lamar Jackson, who is returning from an extended absence this week. The pair connected for 150, 84, and 118 yards in their three games together this year.

And now they get Buffalo’s terrible defence in Jackson’s first game in nearly a full month. Buffalo is giving up 173.8 receiving yards a game to opposing wideouts, and their overall passing defence is second-worst in football, allowing 285.8 passing yards a game. This one should be a shootout, and Flowers will be one of the main characters.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots - Over 17.5 Receiving Yards (-110) @ Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are bad at a lot of things, but defending running backs in the passing game seems to be one of the especially problematic aspects of their mediocre defence. They’re allowing 46.0 yards per game through the air to RBs, third-most in the NFL.

That includes 30 to Braelon Allen in their first win of the season last week, 21 and 10 for Chase Brown and Samaje Perine, 34 for Aaron Jones, 43 for Christian McCaffrey, and 45 for Ashton Jeanty.

Just looking at them, you’d think TreVeyon Henderson would be the pass-catching back for the Patriots. But because he can’t block a lick, Rhamondre Stevenson handles nearly all the passing-down duties. He has gone over his receiving yards prop in five of seven games, and has 20+ in three of his last four.

Stefon Diggs, WR, Washington Commanders - Over 4.5 Receptions (-110) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

We don’t love this guy, but with Terry McLaurin announced to be out for the season, there aren’t many other places for Jayden Daniels to go with the ball apart from Stefon Diggs–who’s already been receiving a lot of attention anyway.

Diggs has had 4+ receptions in every game this season, including 5+ in three of his last four. He’s had 7+ targets in each of his last three outings, and his 28 percent target rate when he runs a route leads the Commanders.

In Week 8, he’ll match up with the Eagles in Washington: Philly is allowing 13.1 receptions to WRs per game (8th-most in the NFL) and 185.3 yards to WRs per game (4th-most). Philly has given up 5+ receptions to at least two players in each of the last five games as well.
