Jordan Mason, RB, MIN - Over 69.5 Rushing Yards (-110) vs. GB
The Green Bay Packers are one of the only teams in the league with absolutely nothing to play for in Week 18. Nothing to lose or gain. So they will be resting starters. And we don’t imagine a ton of passion burning in the eyes of their backups when they all know they need to be healthy and ready for a meaningful playoff game the next week.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are out of the playoffs but are planning to play all their top guys—as long as they’re healthy. Running back Aaron Jones is not one of those, so teammate Jordan Mason, who’s off the injury report after suffering a recent ankle injury, will carry the full load against a Packers team that doesn’t even really want to play this game. In four games without Jones this year, Mason has averaged 70.5 yards on the ground.
And did we mention that Green Bay’s vaunted defense has been giving up 171 rushing yards per game over their last four, the second-most in the NFL over that span. As long as betting sites keep this number below 75, we love Mason here.
Jacoby Brissett, QB, ARI - Over 245.5 Passing Yards (-110) @ LAR
Jacoby Brissett was the go-to guy for bettors for a while there, but his star has waned over the last couple of weeks. He has not topped 220 passing yards in his last two games. But we think he’s going to bounce back in Week 18.
The Cardinals are likely not going to roll with Brissett next year, so this game could really be his swan song as a starting QB. Which means the coaches are going to allow him to let ‘err rip.
He threw for 271 yards in the first matchup with the Rams this season, and L.A. has been susceptible against the pass recently, allowing the eighth-most passing yards over the last month. And with the Rams able to move up to the No. 5 seed with a win, Brissett should get tons of chances to throw from a trailing position.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, PIT - Over 200.5 Passing Yards (-110) vs. BAL
After last week’s display, we’re shocking ourselves with this pick. But it just makes sense to us. Aaron Rodgers is looking for a bounce back performance in a huge clutch spot here at home on Sunday night against the Ravens.
He has thrown for 200+ yards in three of four prime time games this season, and he put up a season-high 284 against this Ravens defense just a few weeks ago. Since then, Baltimore has allowed 225 to Joe Burrow, 380 to Drake Maye, and 288 to Malik Willis. Rodgers should manage 200, which he has done in 10 of 15 games in the Black and Gold.
